There haven't been any pick trades since Jim moved all 2020 picks to the spreadsheet. I don't remember the name of the page, but everything was right as of last week.

2020 MiLB draft in July -> you have to leave the draft with 12 or fewer prospects. And then the limit is just always 12. So the first annual 2021 NPD in February is going to be shallow.

 

Spanky mentioned holding J2 signees out of the 2020 MiLB draft to keep some talent for the 2021 NPD. I'm planning to start a poll once the cut down and waiver draft are finished.

 

Things will be a lot less confusing in 2021 when we transition to a single draft every year and no cuts.

Ok, so to be clear, If I have 12 out of 12 possible prospects on my roster now. Assuming I don't trade or promote any to MLB, I would not have any space for any 2020 draft picks unless I cut my roster from my current prospects? Correct?

Yeah. You'd have to cut or promote to your big boy roster.

Yup. Cut/trade/promote are your options. A lot of picks after the first 4 rounds end up not being used. I'm guessing the 2021 draft won't go much deeper than 2 rounds.

 

We could also expand the 2021 draft a bit by going to 26-man rosters or adding a MiLB slot or two.
