King Old-Timey Member Posted September 11, 2019 Posted September 11, 2019 Besides the visually pleasing part, I like how easy Yahoo’s app is to manage. And besides that, and I know I’m in the minority here but I like the updates. They’re always relevant. On fantrax it’s like Vlad when 1-4 today and finished with a .275 average well that's just a blatant lie Here is my player news feed Matt Olson Olson went 2-for-4 with a walk, two home runs, three runs scored and four RBI in Tuesday's 21-7 rout of the Astros. Analysis:The first baseman was right at the heart of an A's attack that tied the franchise record for hits in a game with 25, while also tying the club's season highs in runs and homers (six). Olson now has 31 long balls on the year, joining Mark McGwire and Jason Giambi as the only first basemen in Oakland history with multiple 30-HR campaigns. Andrew Kittredge Kittredge will serve as the opener Wednesday at Texas, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports. Analysis:Kittredge has a 4.17 ERA, 1.34 WHIP and 47:11 K:BB through 41 innings and has worked as an opener six times this season. Austin Pruitt is expected to follow as the Rays' primary pitcher. Jeimer Candelario Candelario went 3-for-5 with a run scored and three RBI in Tuesday's 12-11 win over the Yankees. Analysis:Everyone was hitting for Detroit in this one, as the Tigers rattled off 16 hits as a team. Candelario is batting just .202 this season, but the rebuilding Tigers figure to give the 25-year-old plenty of opportunities down the stretch as they turn their attention to 2020. Candelario has recently picked up more starts at first base with Dawel Lugo emerging as the primary option at third. Jordan Yamamoto Yamamoto (forearm) has just a slight chance to return to the Marlins this season, Andre Fernandez of The Athletic reports. Analysis:Yamamoto has been dealing with a forearm strain since the end of August. Previous reports cast his return in a more favorable light, with the expectation being that he'd make a start in the instructional league before being activated from the 10-day injured list, but president of baseball operations Michael Hill appeared to be more pessimistic Tuesday. Nick Senzel Senzel (shoulder) will remain sidelined Tuesday against the Mariners. Analysis:Shoulder soreness will keep Senzel out of the lineup for the sixth straight game. He's appeared off the bench in three of those games, so it's possible his absence won't last much longer. Phillip Ervin starts in center field on this occasion. Robinson Chirinos Chirinos went 3-for-4 with two home runs and six RBI in Monday's 15-0 win over the Athletics. Analysis:Chirinos broke out of a recent slump in a big way. He entered Monday's game having gone 4-for-30 since Aug. 23. He now has 17 home runs, one shy of the career-high 18 he set in 2018 in 113 games with the Rangers. How are these not relevant?

Fantrax will actually give pretty informative player updates which sometimes will use FIP and xFIP to explain performance.
connorp Old-Timey Member Posted September 11, 2019 Posted September 11, 2019 Well, that’s the way it was a couple years ago. Haven’t used it since

Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted September 13, 2019 Posted September 13, 2019 Ughh... hope that Musgrove missed gem doesn't f*** us. :/
Jimcanuck Old-Timey Member Posted September 13, 2019 Posted September 13, 2019 its fine, not ideal, the way it is now..... switching to fantrax carries risk of losing owners, so i say no to a switch
BTS Community Moderator Posted September 13, 2019 Posted September 13, 2019 Looks like progress has to wait at least another year. My 2019 Yexit campaign (thanks Laika) is dead in the water.
King Old-Timey Member Posted September 13, 2019 Posted September 13, 2019 Looks like progress has to wait at least another year. My 2019 Yexit campaign (thanks Laika) is dead in the water. What the f***? Make the switch. What kind of a commissioner are you? You're gonna let old man ConnorP run the show around here?
connorp Old-Timey Member Posted September 13, 2019 Posted September 13, 2019 It’s 50/50 really. Considering that, since we all signed up for Yahoo it makes sense that it’d stay that way. BTS is all about fairness
BTS Community Moderator Posted September 13, 2019 Posted September 13, 2019 Yeah, the response has been about 50/50. I think a significant majority would have to want to switch for us to disrupt the status quo. I’m considering the issue settled. That said, I think all you remain voters are very dumn and I hate each and every one of you.
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted September 13, 2019 Posted September 13, 2019 What the f***? Make the switch. What kind of a commissioner are you? You're gonna let old man ConnorP run the show around here? Sorry to hear about your resignation from the league. We’ll find a good owner to carry on for orgfiller.
BTS Community Moderator Posted September 13, 2019 Posted September 13, 2019 Orgfiller resigning from a league that he commishes because a change that he could have forced through unilaterally wasn’t forced through would be... unusual.

Don't mind King, although I strongly agree that not making the move to Fantrax because half the league is old and afraid of change is f***ing stupid.

Not liking your gross change is not the same as being afraid of change. Maybe this is the year you guys can shut the f*** up about it instead of starting a debate that annually threatens to tear our league apart.
connorp Old-Timey Member Posted September 13, 2019 Posted September 13, 2019 Yeah, there’s at least of handful of opposed people that used Fantrax and it was awful. Maybe it’s a lot better now (they didn’t even have an app 2 years ago) but in business they say it’s a lot easier to get someone in the door the first time, rather then getting them to come back after a s***** experience
King Old-Timey Member Posted September 13, 2019 Posted September 13, 2019 What's the argument for Yahoo? f***ing LOL Trash ass website. Fantrax is 1000x better. f***ing old people
Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted September 15, 2019 Posted September 15, 2019 Well, that’s the way it was a couple years ago. Haven’t used it since Yeah, good call on assuming a website would just stay the same and not try to improve when they are trying to gain a foothold in the market, dumbass.

When I got s*** for making your death thread, BTS said he didn't want to ban me but that his enforcement changes with the whims of fickle commoners. As far as Yexit goes, he seems like the Theresa May to Boris Johnson. I'd move it and just f***ing dare the crusty curmudgeons like Dinger to.quit.

And Boris Johnson? lol

Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted September 15, 2019 Posted September 15, 2019 A week for posting in a thread? Lol holy s***
BTS Community Moderator Posted September 15, 2019 Posted September 15, 2019 A week for posting in a thread? Lol holy s*** Keep your stupid political s*** to the Politics thread. Nobody wants to read it anywhere else.

What politics are you talking about? I'm discussing leaving Yahoo. Do you not understand the concept of the comment? All this time I thought Yexit was a play on Brexit but I guess not!
BTS Community Moderator Posted September 15, 2019 Posted September 15, 2019 Big day today Drunks. It's basically a coin flip. Apparently Trout wants to DH today, and I'm really hoping he does.
