Jimcanuck Old-Timey Member Posted August 10, 2019 Posted August 10, 2019 Jim, you got real lucky that JD Davis didn’t accrue any stats for you. Eze let me know and we've been engaged in trade talks for the past few days, thought we had a deal which is why i just left him on the bench instead of drop
EZe Verified Member Posted August 10, 2019 Posted August 10, 2019 Eze let me know and we've been engaged in trade talks for the past few days, thought we had a deal which is why i just left him on the bench instead of drop That’s news to me. Lol

EZe Verified Member Posted August 10, 2019 Posted August 10, 2019 We were negotiating but I couldn’t resist the Stro parody
Jimcanuck Old-Timey Member Posted August 10, 2019 Posted August 10, 2019 What the f*** Jim? Easy there fella, control yourself.
connorp Old-Timey Member Posted August 10, 2019 Posted August 10, 2019 I think I added Ez’s guy once or twice and he was cool enough to point it out in a PM. The opposite of how a little bitch like Spanky would handle it

Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted August 10, 2019 Posted August 10, 2019 Adequate holds guy Daniel Hudson is available for a late round 2020 draft pick.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted August 11, 2019 Posted August 11, 2019 We're willing to listen on the following bats: Paul Goldschmidt Brandon Lowe Bryan Reynolds Shin Soo-Choo Ian Happ Carson Kelly/Mitch Garver Adam Eaton Primarily looking to move bats for pitchers. Everyone is available at the right price. You can PM King, he'll be answering those but he just can't post on the board.
BTS Community Moderator Posted August 11, 2019 Posted August 11, 2019 So Wade Miley is the only SP on the market?
Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted August 11, 2019 Posted August 11, 2019 So Wade Miley is the only SP on the market? All my healthy pitchers except Sanchez are available (I want to see if Houston can fix him). I don't want draft picks though. I do have some nice relievers. I'm willing to trade one or two, but not all. My preference is to keep Britton and Miller through cutdown.
Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted August 11, 2019 Posted August 11, 2019 Would like to trade: Sogard (2B,SS,OF) Continuing to perform with Tampa. 869 OPS! Fowler (CF) Cheap center fielder if someone has a hole. Willing to trade, but happy to keep: Joc Pederson (1B, CF) Hunter Renfroe (OF) Daniel Murphy (1B, 2B) Steven Matz (SP) Eric Lauer (SP) Sean Newcomb (SP,RP) Holds from SP! Will Harris (RP - 1.67 ERA + 19 holds), Chris Martin, Hector Rondon Prefer to keep: Adalberto Mondesi Joe Jimenez
BTS Community Moderator Posted August 12, 2019 Posted August 12, 2019 That was definitely the worst trade deadline in league history.
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted August 12, 2019 Posted August 12, 2019 That was definitely the worst trade deadline in league history. We've made plenty deals, cause of injuries, no SP available though, sucked.
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted August 12, 2019 Posted August 12, 2019 Yu Darvish had something like 6 BB/9 going into the ASB, but over the last month he’s completely forgotten how to walk hitters. 39:1 K:BB over the last 30 days!! That’s some vintage Cliff Lee s***.
BTS Community Moderator Posted August 12, 2019 Posted August 12, 2019 We've made plenty deals, cause of injuries, no SP available though, sucked. There was a shocking lack of SP available. Wade Miley and Steven Matz were pretty much it.

Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted August 12, 2019 Posted August 12, 2019 I'm upset that you rebuffed my advances on him early in the season. Since that day (May 8) he’s 121:24 in 99.1 IP, 3.99/4.04/3.42. Would have been a steal for you if I gave him away.
Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted August 12, 2019 Posted August 12, 2019 There was a shocking lack of SP available. Wade Miley and Steven Matz were pretty much it. I think the openers and dramatic increases in bullpen usage are really messing with fantasy. We probably need to address it in the offseason in all the leagues (maybe move all pitching slots to just pitcher, and increase the required innings). There's really only a handful of elite, or even what we'd normally consider high end, guys this year in baseball. xFIP is way up this year (1/2 a run), and most of that probably isn't coming from the top end pitchers. Guys who, in the past, were maybe putting up 3.5 to 3.9 ERA are now in the low to mid 4's. Heck, there's only 28 (qualified) SP pitchers in all of baseball with an xFIP under 4 right now. In other words, I think people's expectations of what a SP should look like in fantasy haven't kept up with the game.

With pitcher injuries seeming to get worse and the change in pitching usage, I'm no longer targetting 5-6 SP, but a few less than that and filling the gap with multi inning guys. SP wins and IP have dropped every year for the past 5.

Taking a page out of BTS’ playbook I see No after seeing it multiple weeks, it's Tuesday Connor you dingleberry. And seeing it with Chubs too? I know you wouldn't notice, cause your self awareness is nil and void.

It's frustrating, but for the most part owners are pretty good about at least taking 5 minutes once a week to set lineups ahead of time.

Yeah, but they should be far more involved, for the health of the leagues? You know use your DL and move healthy guys from the DL and swap em with something.
