Pendleton Old-Timey Member Posted May 5, 2019 Posted May 5, 2019 The rules are definitely ambiguous on this point. I think max 14 at any time is simple. No reason to add complexity. Let's make a trade to celebrate your good idea
Jimcanuck Old-Timey Member Posted May 5, 2019 Posted May 5, 2019 Let's make a trade to celebrate your good idea You want Adell do you
Pendleton Old-Timey Member Posted May 5, 2019 Posted May 5, 2019 You want Adell do you I was more talking about the offer from earlier today
Jimcanuck Old-Timey Member Posted May 5, 2019 Posted May 5, 2019 I was more talking about the offer from earlier today I've got a few negotiations underway, that one is borderline interesting to me. You know who I am really after.
Pendleton Old-Timey Member Posted May 5, 2019 Posted May 5, 2019 I've got a few negotiations underway, that one is borderline interesting to me. You know who I am really after. I wouldn't move that particular player unless I was giving up on the year, given that he is one of the best at his position. But I think I have a fair offer on the table
L54 Old-Timey Member Posted May 5, 2019 Posted May 5, 2019 I think part of the interesting flavor of this league is the flex roster capability, which we'd lose by making it permanently 14. It probably really only needs to apply to the cut downs though. I’ve brought this up before. I like the idea of just making MiLB rosters unlimited during the season. You have to cut down to 12 before the waiver draft. Might give owners who are out of it more incentive to trade for prospects when they know they don’t have to make a decision who to cut right away.
connorp Old-Timey Member Posted May 5, 2019 Posted May 5, 2019 I was going to send some replies back on Pham and Cruz but I’m going to wait to see what you guys do with the prospect rule
Jimcanuck Old-Timey Member Posted May 5, 2019 Posted May 5, 2019 Trade talks are really heating up, I sense some mega deals coming
BTS Community Moderator Posted May 5, 2019 Posted May 5, 2019 I was going to send some replies back on Pham and Cruz but I’m going to wait to see what you guys do with the prospect rule There will be no rule changes mid-season. We’ll likely have vote very early on the offseason.
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted May 5, 2019 Posted May 5, 2019 Josh Hader has struck out... (checks notes) every batter he’s faced this season.
BTS Community Moderator Posted May 5, 2019 Posted May 5, 2019 Josh Hader has struck out... (checks notes) every batter he’s faced this season. Is a 25% swinging strike rate good?
BTS Community Moderator Posted May 5, 2019 Posted May 5, 2019 Pick 23 to The Drunks for Spencer Turnbull. If he ends up being bad I'm going to be very upset with P2F.
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted May 5, 2019 Posted May 5, 2019 Pick 23 to The Drunks for Spencer Turnbull. If he ends up being bad I'm going to be very upset with P2F. He's good, just so happens, so is our team.
BTS Community Moderator Posted May 5, 2019 Posted May 5, 2019 He's good, just so happens, so is our team. The Booze Hounds are insane. Could be the year they finally take it.
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted May 6, 2019 Posted May 6, 2019 The Booze Hounds are insane. Could be the year they finally take it. Thought the same last year... 1st overall means s*** once in.
Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted May 7, 2019 Posted May 7, 2019 Who did Andy end up trading for Paddack again?
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted May 7, 2019 Posted May 7, 2019 Who did Andy end up trading for Paddack again? I think it was LeClerc for two picks (Paddack and Trist-on).
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted May 8, 2019 Posted May 8, 2019 I really appreciate Yahoo activating Hitter Ohtani while keeping Pitcher Ohtani on the DL.
L54 Old-Timey Member Posted May 8, 2019 Posted May 8, 2019 I really appreciate Yahoo activating Hitter Ohtani while keeping Pitcher Ohtani on the DL. Agreed. I own both in another league and fully expected to have to activate both of them. It's the way it should be, but wasn't convinced they would see it that way
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted May 8, 2019 Posted May 8, 2019 Meanwhile, Yu Darvish is officially droppable in a 20 team dynasty league.
BTS Community Moderator Posted May 8, 2019 Posted May 8, 2019 Meanwhile, Yu Darvish is officially droppable in a 20 team dynasty league. I'd give you a gross pick for him before rage dropping him after a couple weeks of destroyed ratios.
Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted May 9, 2019 Posted May 9, 2019 Meanwhile, Yu Darvish is officially droppable in a 20 team dynasty league. I'd have interest.
Jimcanuck Old-Timey Member Posted May 11, 2019 Posted May 11, 2019 Soto comes off IL today. So I need to drop a player but the drop is not effective until tomorrow? That is BS
Pendleton Old-Timey Member Posted May 11, 2019 Posted May 11, 2019 In the spirit of lyrical names, the former CarryOnMyHeywardSon will now be known as PlaceCalledVerdugo
Jimcanuck Old-Timey Member Posted May 11, 2019 Posted May 11, 2019 Meanwhile, Yu Darvish is officially droppable in a 20 team dynasty league. I'd have interest. I had interest, then it quickly dissipated.
L54 Old-Timey Member Posted May 11, 2019 Posted May 11, 2019 Soto comes off IL today. So I need to drop a player but the drop is not effective until tomorrow? That is BS Jim it’s been that way since you’ve entered the league. It sucks but everyone has dealt with it
Jimcanuck Old-Timey Member Posted May 11, 2019 Posted May 11, 2019 Jim it’s been that way since you’ve entered the league. It sucks but everyone has dealt with it I am well aware of that, still is BS Any event, with Glasnow going on the DL, can put Soto in the lineup after all
