They'll have to enforce the rule, unfortunately I argued vehemently against it last year, but to no avail.

According to the rules the commishs decide on penalty on case by case basis. I'm not aware of the details of historical precedents.....

Last year when I made my illegal add I was travelling overseas for 3 months, so wasn't on the computer that much and it was my first illegal add as well. There was no compassion given my way, and I accepted the penalty of losing a first rounder. Jim shouldn't be given a free pass because he's new to the league. Last year was my first full year in BORED as well.

Because this is a really stupid penalty, and it's inconsistent, because it depends on what picks someone has.

Nothing personal. I think a first round pick is far too high a price to pay for an easy mistake, and negligible result.

But even worse than overly harsh penalties are penalties applied inconsistently.
