BTS Community Moderator Posted November 3, 2017 Posted November 3, 2017 I shouldn't have picks 21, 41, 61, etc then. It's just the top-5 affected by the lottery. Every pick after is according to standings.
Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted November 3, 2017 Posted November 3, 2017 It's just the top-5 affected by the lottery. Every pick after is according to standings. Really? I can't recall us ever doing that in this or any of the other leagues. I thought it was just the top 5 go into the lottery to determine the slot, not just the first 5 picks. I won't complain though.

I was thinking of the NHL, which does a lottery for the first round only and then reverts to standings. I'm not taking the time to change it, but if someone wants to poll people for a consensus and then make the change if that's what people want, be my guest.
BTS Community Moderator Posted November 3, 2017 Posted November 3, 2017 Still looking to move a reliever. I have the following: Aroldis Chapman Dellin Betances Sean Doolittle Anthony Swarzak Trevor Hildenberger A.J. Minter Values obviously vary, and Chapman is most unlikely to move.

What's the price on Betances?
BTS Community Moderator Posted November 3, 2017 Posted November 3, 2017 What's the price on Betances? Probably a couple of very good prospects.
BTS Community Moderator Posted November 7, 2017 Posted November 7, 2017 (edited) Regarding the draft order, here's the way it was done this year. I'm not sure exactly how it went in 2016: - order followed the reverse order of regular season standings (using winning percentage and disregarding division titles) - bottom 5 teams were in the lottery with the following odds: 16 - 1 ball 17 - 2 balls 18 - 3 balls 19 - 4 balls 20 - 5 balls - the lottery is only for the first round, and the order reverts back to reverse regular season order for rounds 2-6 Anyone opposed to adding these pieces to the league rules so that we know exactly how things will run going forward? It's never been done that way in this league or any of the other current dynasty leagues, so we probably shouldn't change it now. It would make sense to rule on this starting for next offseason, though.

Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted November 17, 2017 Posted November 17, 2017 I could use a high end outfielder, but other than that I'm pretty happy with how my team is looking in this league.

I could use two high end outfielders, a shortstop, second base, catcher, four starting pitchers and a relief corps, but other than that I'm pretty happy with how my team is looking in this league.
BTS Community Moderator Posted November 17, 2017 Posted November 17, 2017 I'm still looking to trade a reliever. My relievers are good. Somebody trade for one.
AdamGreenwood Old-Timey Member Posted November 17, 2017 Posted November 17, 2017 Picking up a reliever before the drop deadline? Not bloody likely.
BTS Community Moderator Posted November 17, 2017 Posted November 17, 2017 Picking up a reliever before the drop deadline? Not bloody likely. You have like 10 keeper worthy players. Planning on making lots of additions before the deadline?

BTS Community Moderator Posted November 18, 2017 Posted November 18, 2017 To those looking for a closer, Sean Doolittle could be had for a good prospect.
jays4life19 Old-Timey Member Posted November 20, 2017 Posted November 20, 2017 Looking to move Trevor Rosenthal to a rebuilding team. Guy was lights out before getting hurt and should be back near the end of the season. Looking for a MILB pick, prospect, or closer. Jim, i think he would look great on your team.

BTS Community Moderator Posted November 20, 2017 Posted November 20, 2017 I’d be intetested in sending you a lowball offer for Rosenthal if you get desperate.
Jimcanuck Old-Timey Member Posted November 20, 2017 Posted November 20, 2017 Really? No interest? He`s only 27 and is an elite RP. and just unconditionally released i have a good group of relievers already, and would rather pick as my keepers guys that have health and mobility in trade
jays4life19 Old-Timey Member Posted November 20, 2017 Posted November 20, 2017 and just unconditionally released i have a good group of relievers already, and would rather pick as my keepers guys that have health and mobility in trade Only because the Cards would have had to pay him close to 8 million to sit out almost the whole year! You can afford to sit on him because you don`t plan on winning and when he comes back healthy he probably instantly becomes your most valuable RP. ehh, if you don`t want him that`s fine but if i was in your position that`s exactly the type of acquisition i would be going after. It`s a good buy low!
