jays4life19 Old-Timey Member Posted June 16, 2017 Posted June 16, 2017 The BORED Tenure of FS was quite interesting. - Get's into a "Elite" BJMB dynasty that was suppose to be a league full of the guys with the best track records. (FS had no experience and a limited board track record) - Drafts a team full of Bluejays and lucks himself into the playoffs. - Has the worst MILB draft in dynasty baseball history. - Starts to send random PM to guys about aliens and conspiracy theories and makes non sense posts - Disappears at the start of the season RIP French Soup.
AdamGreenwood Old-Timey Member Posted June 16, 2017 Posted June 16, 2017 I'm pretty sure there's an updated version of the rules document that has the start time for the milb draft as well as a better explanation of the 12-14 milb keepers. If anyone could produce it, could we put it into the BORED spreadsheet?

Very accurate summary
jays4life19 Old-Timey Member Posted June 16, 2017 Posted June 16, 2017 Very accurate summary I forgot about when he traded for retired David Ortiz after Cyborg said he could have him for free
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted June 16, 2017 Posted June 16, 2017 If we have any BORED rules, can we add them to the BORED master document, just so everything we need is all in one place? It's on the first post ITT, but good idea. We can make this happen. I'm pretty sure there's an updated version of the rules document that has the start time for the milb draft as well as a better explanation of the 12-14 milb keepers. P2F Old-Timey Member Posted June 16, 2017 Posted June 16, 2017 If somebody could please point me in the direction of this updated document, or confirm its existence, I will add it to the spreadsheet this weekend.

I missed out on all the PM talk. That's hilarious.
Jimcanuck Old-Timey Member Posted June 16, 2017 Posted June 16, 2017 So I gather position player defense means nothing? Points based on hitting and pitching numbers only?
connorp Old-Timey Member Posted June 16, 2017 Posted June 16, 2017 Some of the guys like BTS and njh have leagues where UZR and men's butts are scoring categories but not these leagues. Only hitting and pitching.
jays4life19 Old-Timey Member Posted June 16, 2017 Posted June 16, 2017 BB, I can't check right now.. but I trust you started Big Joe tonight?
BTS Community Moderator Posted June 16, 2017 Posted June 16, 2017 So I gather position player defense means nothing? Points based on hitting and pitching numbers only? Just the 14 categories in the matchup screen matter. There are no defensive categories.
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted June 17, 2017 Posted June 17, 2017 BB, I can't check right now.. but I trust you started Big Joe tonight? Yup. Congrats on winning ERA this week..
spittin Verified Member Posted June 17, 2017 Author Posted June 17, 2017 I updated the first page of the thread with the up to date rules, sorry for the confusion. KEEPER RULES On March 1st prior to the rule 5 Draft (March 7) – teams must trim their MLB rosters down. Teams can roster a maximum of 32 total players through the cut down with a maximum of 22 MLB and 14 MiLB being allowed. For example, teams can decide to keep 22 of their MLB players but would only be allowed to carry 10 MiLB. If teams choose this setup their redundant waiver picks will dissolve. If teams acquire more than 12 prospects via trade or draft then they can cut down to a minimum 18 MLB players and carry a maximum of 14 prospects through the cut down period but will be required to cut down to a maximum of 12 prospects before the July MiLB draft.
Jimcanuck Old-Timey Member Posted June 17, 2017 Posted June 17, 2017 Major Trade Deal To Frenchsoup: Alex Reyes Michael Wacha Brandon Drury #17 #35 To Boozehounds: EE McCutchen 2017 BORED Championship
AdamGreenwood Old-Timey Member Posted June 17, 2017 Posted June 17, 2017 Looked over the rules. Very interesting. 1) The annual MiLB draft will be held immediately following the conclusion of the real-life MLB Rule 4 Draft 2) All MiLB cuts must be made one week prior to the annual MiLB draft so that draft order can be finalized. 3) If your MiLB roster is full at the time of the draft, you will not be allowed to draft prospects and all of your remaining picks will be discarded. If I'm reading this right, it looks like most of us are going to be losing all of our draft picks. Darn. We should probably either: a) Set a date for the draft ASAP. or Change the rules to say that the draft starts after the signing deadline. If we take the rules literally, we've all lost our draft picks anyways.

Jimcanuck Old-Timey Member Posted June 17, 2017 Posted June 17, 2017 With that deal, Estrada and Happ are on the trade block, either can be had for a good prospect or 1st round pick
The Cats Ass Old-Timey Member Posted June 17, 2017 Posted June 17, 2017 With that deal, Estrada and Happ are on the trade block, either can be had for a good prospect or 1st round pick FS would be pissed with this. Hunt ya down
Jimcanuck Old-Timey Member Posted June 17, 2017 Posted June 17, 2017 FS would be pissed with this. Hunt ya down I'll chew him up like Shapiro did AA. Holding his prize prospect Jacobs though
L54 Old-Timey Member Posted June 17, 2017 Posted June 17, 2017 Ya and sorry spank for dealing more of our young players. #Flags fly forever? I highly doubt you regret this trade ever. Reyes is one TJS deep and Wacha is meh. I like Drury but can't really consider him an impact piece. EE and Cutch are both very good players still.

BTS Community Moderator Posted June 17, 2017 Posted June 17, 2017 Major Trade Deal To Frenchsoup: Alex Reyes Michael Wacha Brandon Drury #17 #35 To Boozehounds: EE McCutchen 2017 BORED Championship Processed the MiLB parts on the sheet.

Says the way they do because I think it came from the DDL? But ya, last year was after the singing deadline
jays4life19 Old-Timey Member Posted June 17, 2017 Posted June 17, 2017 Can confirm I attempted to trade for Jacob's and was turned down.
Jimcanuck Old-Timey Member Posted June 17, 2017 Posted June 17, 2017 Processed the MiLB parts on the sheet. When/how to move players off the prospects list onto the MLB roster? Will do it at the same time I cut down my MiLB prospect list to make it easy
Jimcanuck Old-Timey Member Posted June 17, 2017 Posted June 17, 2017 Can confirm I attempted to trade for Jacob's and was turned down. It was a lowball.... trying to take advantage of the newbie
BTS Community Moderator Posted June 17, 2017 Posted June 17, 2017 When/how to move players off the prospects list onto the MLB roster? Most people try to wait as long as possible though, because its irreversible. Just make the add and post in this thread that you're doing it and someone will delete them from the sheet to open up a MiLB slot.

Usually people will make note of promotions in this thread so people can see that you have.
L54 Old-Timey Member Posted June 17, 2017 Posted June 17, 2017 It was a lowball.... trying to take advantage of the newbie Literally no offer for David Jacobs should be turned down. He's not worth owning at all.
