BTS Community Moderator Posted March 1, 2017 Posted March 1, 2017 Tulo is 32 and didn't finish inside the Top 250 in this format last year. I don't know where you get off talking about probabilities, his final decline is a near certainty. Pretty sure Tulo has been outside the top-250 in value for our leagues the last two years. He's not a high end dynasty asset anymore.
Cyborg Verified Member Posted March 1, 2017 Posted March 1, 2017 Tulowitzki is essentially a replacement level shortstop in this format now. This is a lost cause NJH.
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted March 1, 2017 Posted March 1, 2017 So Brandon Crawford? Not a bad fantasy comp, actually, but Swanson I think will bring more SB and R.
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted March 1, 2017 Posted March 1, 2017 This is a lost cause NJH. I'm sorry you invested too much and bought in on him too late, but it is what it is. He's just not that good any more.
Laika Community Moderator Posted March 1, 2017 Posted March 1, 2017 I'm sorry you invested too much and bought in on him too late, but it is what it is. He's just not that good any more. The Coors adjustment will finally kick in this year and he'll string together some .350 wOBA seasons for Toronto and remain an everyday SS until he's 40.

He'll run a sub-100 wRC+ this year and injuries will force him out of baseball by age 35.

What was, Benintendi + Brandon Crawford + Pearce (so far) two near-replacement seasons for Tulowitzki? Boxy with the big win over Cyborg.
Cyborg Verified Member Posted March 1, 2017 Posted March 1, 2017 What was, Benintendi + Brandon Crawford + Pearce (so far) two near-replacement seasons for Tulowitzki? Boxy with the big win over Cyborg. Yeah I overpaid on that one. Tulo still better than Crawford, but Benintendi hurts.
BTS Community Moderator Posted March 1, 2017 Posted March 1, 2017 Yeah I overpaid on that one. Tulo still better than Crawford, but Benintendi hurts. Hasn't Crawford actually been better in both seasons since you made the trade? You kind of paid Benintendi for the privilege of downgrading from Tulo to Crawford.
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted March 1, 2017 Posted March 1, 2017 Yeah I overpaid on that one. Tulo still better than Crawford, but Benintendi hurts. TBH the difference between Tulo and Crawford at this point probably isn't even worth a utility guy like Pearce. It goes without saying that Benintendi is by far the most valuable piece in the deal.

You kind of paid Benintendi for the privilege of downgrading from Tulo to Crawford. No they've been pretty much the same. Tulo is 5th in SS wOBA the last two years and 1 HR back of the most. He hasn't been replacement lol.
BTS Community Moderator Posted March 1, 2017 Posted March 1, 2017 No they've been pretty much the same. Tulo is 5th in SS wOBA the last two years and 1 HR back of the most. He hasn't been replacement lol. He's been close to replacement, but not replacement. I think he's finished in the 225-300 overall range in 2015 and 2016, and shortstop is pretty deep.
BTS Community Moderator Posted March 1, 2017 Posted March 1, 2017 Wow, Tulo and Asdrubal Cabrera are basically indistinguishable since Tulo had hip surgery: 267/327/442 for Tulo vs. 273/326/452 for Cabrera.

He hasn't been replacement lol. wOBA isn't a category. Runs matter, hits matter, OBP matters. Quantity matters. Power is his only draw and he hasn't had a .200 ISO either of the last two years.
Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted March 1, 2017 Posted March 1, 2017 This is the type of absurd youth-humping that leads people to draft Anthony Goses in the 8th round. Tulo is a nearly bankable bet to provide a few more solid fantasy seasons. Swanson might not ever provide one solid fantasy season. Sure there's a chance he is great, but your probabilities are way out of whack. Hey, f*** off!
Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted March 1, 2017 Posted March 1, 2017 What was, Benintendi + Brandon Crawford + Pearce (so far) two near-replacement seasons for Tulowitzki? Boxy with the big win over Cyborg. Benintendi, Crawford, Pearce, plus a pick for just Tulowitzki. But anyway, Steamer fapfapfap Also, more valuable: Tulowitzki or Steve Pearce? Pearce probably carries 2b while in Toronto as well as 1B and OF, is a better hitter and on the same team in the same park.
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted March 1, 2017 Posted March 1, 2017 This is the type of absurd youth-humping that leads people to draft Anthony Goses in the 8th round. It worked out pretty well with my Seager and Syndergaard picks.
Laika Community Moderator Posted March 1, 2017 Posted March 1, 2017 It worked out pretty well with my Seager and Syndergaard picks. anecdotes anecdotes anecdotes bring me more ANECDOTES!!!

Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted March 1, 2017 Posted March 1, 2017 You can replace quantity when he's injured off the waiver wire if you so desire. Yes, with someone of exactly equal fantasy production, like Gyorko or Gregorius.
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted March 1, 2017 Posted March 1, 2017 anecdotes anecdotes anecdotes bring me more ANECDOTES!!! Ok, how about when BTS took Brett Lawrie at #24 in the initial DDL draftttt... oh... nvm
BTS Community Moderator Posted March 1, 2017 Posted March 1, 2017 Ok, how about when BTS took Brett Lawrie at #24 in the initial DDL draftttt... oh... nvm This knife to the back is a poor reward for arguing alongside you these last few pages.
jays4life19 Old-Timey Member Posted March 1, 2017 Posted March 1, 2017 I think FS might have the worst farm in the history of fantasy sports now.
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted March 1, 2017 Posted March 1, 2017 This knife to the back is a poor reward for arguing alongside you these last few pages. I'm sorry, friend. Could have happened to anybody.
BTS Community Moderator Posted March 1, 2017 Posted March 1, 2017 I think FS might have the worst farm in the history of fantasy sports now. Newman, Tapia, and Calhoun are all legit prospects at least. connorp in LoD has easily the worst farm I've ever seen.
BTS Community Moderator Posted March 1, 2017 Posted March 1, 2017 He doesn't have Tapia. I do. I have to update that on the sheet. Also, I just realized he traded Tapia, a first, and Britton for Swanson less than a month ago. So it's actually Vlad Jr. David Robertson Britton 1st Raimel Tapia For Bautista and Martin.
Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted March 1, 2017 Posted March 1, 2017 Newman, Tapia, and Calhoun are all legit prospects at least. connorp in every league has easily the worst farm I've ever seen. Ftfy. Also, for awhile in BBDL, connorp had literally no farm at all.
BTS Community Moderator Posted March 1, 2017 Posted March 1, 2017 Does anyone else have missed trades on the sheet? Also, I'm going to add 2018 waiver picks tonight and remove the 2017 ones. I'm assuming that nobody has traded any of those yet?
