I doubt it. I had a pretty strong offer so they must be pretty good.

Well, there's only 2 teams with multiple 1st rounders, so it's not hard to guess who the chips likely are.

Considering Jaysblue is the only other person with 2 first round picks, its some combination of

Eric Hosmer (or CJ Cron)

Neil Walker (or Starlin Castro)

Sonny Gray (or Waino, Nola, Paxton)

I think i like my offer better still. To be fair though i'm crazy high on Adames.

I'd say it's Aaron Nola over Sonny Gray, but still that's a pretty bad offer.

With good reason. He's going to be a star. Just wait until he taps into more in-game power!

I had a decent offer too.

OK, winning bid is:

1st round pick

1st round pick

James Paxton

Eric Hosmer

Neil Walker

Thanks to all participants. A lot of really good offers came in. Ultimately, I wanted to go with MLB talent, instead of prospects this time around.

I think that's a pretty good return. Walker is good. Paxton has a chance to be very good. Hosmer isn't good in real life, but is a good bet to continue to be productive in our format if KC keeps running him out there. And there's always the chance he starts putting the ball in the air more often.

One time Nox told me "always big Hos. Always" when I was debating between him and Bumgarner. The fact that AG got even more than Hos means a big win, since Nox is a god among us.

One time Nox asked me if he should trade his Joey Gallo for Chris Sale. I begged him to do it, but he didn't.

Hahaha then I said "Gallo suxxxxxxxxxxxxxx" and he responded with "this is why you can't have nice things"

I take it back, guy's a dummy. You hear me, Noxage? A dummy!

I'd say he'll never read that post, but I think we all know very well that he spends his 12 hour workdays lurking this board.

There's no chance he doesn't respond to this.

Paxton in the 2nd half last year had a 3.13 xFIP and 7.20 k/bb. If he can stay healthy, he could be a beast.

Yeah we matched up well in this deal. I had a lot of high draft picks from the trades I made last summer when I took over this team. As well, had depth both at 1B and 2B. I don't think going from Hosmer to Morales or Cron at 1B is much of a drop-off from a offensive stand point. Same with Walker to Castro (outside of .OBP). Paxton could be the real gem however if he stays healthy, though I've seen young starters like him before (Bedard, Harden etc.) who were fragile at a young age and never amounted to anything more than 20 start pitchers with frequent trips to the DL.

Confirmed.

Because I only kept 13 prospects at the deadline, do I need to make a subsequent roster move or would I just kiss a waiver pick goodbye?

Just burn the pick.

Not having the rules posted is a pain. Does GD's window expire at 7:47 PM, or was there a freeze from Midnight to 8 AM or something?

Doesn't make a huge difference. Either it expires at 7:47 or 8:00. We can just say 8:00 to be safe. Unlike GD to miss a pick - and it's not even Sabbath.

Windows don't freeze for this draft I believe.
