Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted July 21, 2016 Posted July 21, 2016 GD says: "I'm taking Adrian Morejon of the Padres signed July 7 for $11m or something." Havok is up. 19 years old in rookie ball ok Oh yeah, GFY GD!!!
jays4life19 Old-Timey Member Posted July 21, 2016 Posted July 21, 2016 The Royals signed C Meibrys Viloria for $460,000 as a 16 year old. He didn't make the mid season top 10 prospects for the Royals but BA did say this.. "RISING Catcher Meibrys Viloria didn’t have an extra-base hit last year. This year the 19-year-old catcher had 14 extra-base hits (and a .424 average) in his first 15 games with rookie-level Idaho Falls . . . Second baseman Corey Toups is a gamer who gets on-base and hits for average."
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted July 21, 2016 Posted July 21, 2016 Dude you gotta stop drafting rookie ball guys who aren't elite prospects lol

jays4life19 Old-Timey Member Posted July 21, 2016 Posted July 21, 2016 I have a surplus of good SS prospects and looking to move one for a SP. Dansby Swanson + MiLB 52 for a very good pitcher. Or Willy Adames + Jeff Hoffman

Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted July 21, 2016 Posted July 21, 2016 I'm going to take Harrison Bader. Great pick.
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted July 21, 2016 Posted July 21, 2016 Going with Kyle Higashioka 26 year old journeyman catcher who MLB.com didn't rank in the Yankees Top 30 prospects? That guy?
jays4life19 Old-Timey Member Posted July 21, 2016 Posted July 21, 2016 26 year old journeyman catcher who MLB.com didn't rank in the Yankees Top 30 prospects? That guy? Well...you did tell him not to draft rookie ball guys who aren't elite prospects. So he went with a non prospect AAA guy. Plus, i'm pretty sure he's just stat scouting and looking at their wRC+ for the year.
AdamGreenwood Old-Timey Member Posted July 21, 2016 Posted July 21, 2016 I'll take Mike Soroka again.
Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted July 21, 2016 Posted July 21, 2016 Great pick. He's really fallen off. I was in love with him in like, late May.
Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted July 21, 2016 Posted July 21, 2016 Frenchsoup is seriously shaking the faith of everything I thought I knew about fantasy baseball. First round pick lost for the year, only 3 players in the top 100, obvious homer picks constantly, drafting absolute no-name prospects when people with actual skill are on the board, pitching staff is based purely on volume of innings...and he's leading his division. I seriously don't get it.
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted July 21, 2016 Posted July 21, 2016 He's really fallen off. I was in love with him in like, late May. I think what you're seeing in AA/AAA is what you're going to get with him, he can be an across the board contributor who doesn't kill you in any category. He's no Benintendi, but I think his peak years could be something like Alex Gordon, with a chance to have CF eligibility. I don't expect him to ever be a star, but a player like that has a lot of utility. He projects as a leadoff type hitter and could end up being a great source of runs.

I seriously don't get it. He's 39-27-4 against his division, that's probably part of it. His team would look a lot better with Schwarber healthy and mashing. I'm not sure he'll be able to sustain his W% down the stretch with a team that features Stephen Piscotty as its best hitter.
jays_fever Old-Timey Member Posted July 21, 2016 Posted July 21, 2016 Patrick Corbin, Rafael Defers and Dillon Tate OTB for a front like pitcher
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted July 21, 2016 Posted July 21, 2016 Going with Kyle Higashioka Is this real life?

He doesn't walk enough to be Gordon. I think absolute best case is an Adam Jones type tbh with more strikeouts. Which is good, but I just can't stomach the 6% bb, 25% k profile.
Frenchsoup Verified Member Posted July 21, 2016 Posted July 21, 2016 Guys, this is by far the toughest league I've ever been in, you guys should all be proud of your acumen's. I've learned so much about how everyone see's the game from a different angle, that there is no one way to do things. TY ALL.
