If you squint hard and cross your fingers Lorenzo Cain should work out OK. Things got pretty dicey with the Matz pick though.

Matz was going to be taken shortly after he was picked, it was fine.

So L54 is online all morning right until his pick comes up, and then goes offline? That's kind of weird. Maybe it was just unlucky timing.

More or less. I PMed him.

Working at work is incredibly overrated.

Solid pick

Heavy side of the platoon, if he can not hit like Ryan Goins against lefties he'll look even better.

He quietly broke out and plays in a great hitter's park, plus he'll probably bat between Pollock and Goldy, which should really pad his counting stats. The upside is nice for this late in the draft.

Thankfully it's just called work and I actually enjoy it. Otherwise it would be a long, painful life.

Don't really need another pitcher, but this guy never should have dropped this far in the first place:

Michael Pineda

Yep nice pick. Top of my board.

It's crazy how he just decided to stop walking guys after not playing pro ball for 2+ years. I think the ERA context is a bit concerning but he's definitely a high-end SP2 when healthy.

Yup, was basically the logic I followed while making this pick. I hope he hits in front of Goldy though so he can attempt more steals :(

1.89 ERA in 76 IP in 2014. ERA-FIP shouldn't be a problem.

Yeah it's more or less a wash with his 2015 ERA/FIP. As always, health is the major red flag with Pineda.

Just the 2nd Yankee picked. 6 Blue Jays and 8 Cubs already.

The Jays have a lot of elite top end talent, the Cubs are just stacked as f***.

Dee Gordon.

The soup nazi is up.

This was a great pick. Would've taken him at 98.
