I think I'd take Stro first. Both have similar K and walk numbers but Stroman has the much better defense behind him and Win totals.

 

I'm not covinced Stro will approach 8 K/9, and I like his clean injury history and displayed ability to provide 200 inning seasons. Edge to Stro for win totals for sure though. Probably.

Yeah Quintana is one of the safest pitchers you can go with, there is upside if he ever leaves Chicago too. Even if Stro remains a mid 7 K/9 guy he walks less than 2/9 with close to a 60% GB rate. With Donaldson, Tulo, Martin and Pillar on defense for the next couple of years he has a good shot to beat his ERA projection I think.

Its because ppl are terrified that his BABIP are in fact not real and he'll become a total dud. Not unreasonable, and I say this as a Dee owner.
