spittin Verified Member Posted January 25, 2016 Author Posted January 25, 2016 Sorry was driving and am hoping it gets around to me again tonight.
Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted January 25, 2016 Posted January 25, 2016 I feel like it nicely communicates the stock I put in the opinions of people who are awful at this. It lacks pizzazz.
Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted January 25, 2016 Posted January 25, 2016 I thought I was wrong about Kipnis last year, but then looked him up and discovered that I was not. Kipnisuxxxxxxxxx
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted January 25, 2016 Posted January 25, 2016 f*** this was hard, it sucks knowing that almost all of the guys we're considering here won't be around by our next pick. Tyson Ross
BTS Community Moderator Posted January 25, 2016 Posted January 25, 2016 Well, with Stro, Quintana, and Ross we've moved firmly to the SP2 portion of the draft. With one possible exception still on the board.

connorp Old-Timey Member Posted January 25, 2016 Posted January 25, 2016 I have some interest in moving up to the next set of picks.
BTS Community Moderator Posted January 25, 2016 Posted January 25, 2016 Most of the best available starters are huge injury risks. Yeah. I hate those guys.
spittin Verified Member Posted January 25, 2016 Author Posted January 25, 2016 Kipnis had a better wRC+ and wOBA than Altuve last season Boxy, no wonder you suck.

Altuve beat Kipnis last year in: -HR, by 6 -RBI, by 12 -Avridge, by .010 -SLG, by .008 -And uh, SB by 26 Altuve also projects substantially better, and is 25 to Kipnis' 28.

Not sure what your point is here, I never said Kipnis was better. Altuve was taken 26th overall so obviously there will be good reason for the gap in value, my point is Kipnis doesnt suxxxxx. Also the first 4 statistics you compared could easily flip flop.

The 2B position is awful, Kipnis is a top ~3-5 2B, that's not really debatable.
Laika Community Moderator Posted January 25, 2016 Posted January 25, 2016 The 2B position is awful, Kipnis is a top ~3-5 2B, that's not really debatable. Oh sure that's debatable. You could reasonably put him like, 9th.
BTS Community Moderator Posted January 25, 2016 Posted January 25, 2016 I have like 9 2B on my board that I'm expecting to be reasonably close to Kipnis in value. The real black holes are C and SS.

Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted January 25, 2016 Posted January 25, 2016 The SS left are so bad. SS is a wasteland. Anybody want to trade me an upcoming pick for Orlando Arcia?

Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted January 25, 2016 Posted January 25, 2016 It's not like Boxy to take more than 2 minutes to make his pick.
BTS Community Moderator Posted January 25, 2016 Posted January 25, 2016 It's not like Boxy to take more than 2 minutes to make his pick. He's going to hit this one out of the park. I can feel it.
Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted January 25, 2016 Posted January 25, 2016 The SS left are so bad. There's still at least 2 who should be worth owning.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted January 25, 2016 Posted January 25, 2016 I'll take Michael Conforto Argh, I was really hoping he fell.
Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted January 25, 2016 Posted January 25, 2016 Pretty sure that's it for tonight boys
BTS Community Moderator Posted January 25, 2016 Posted January 25, 2016 Cruz-Buxton-Conforto outfield. Boom or bust.
Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted January 25, 2016 Posted January 25, 2016 Argh, I was really hoping he fell. I'm actually surprised he's never been one of my guys. Slow corner OF all-bat prospect, stat scout dream. Perhaps walk rate is a bit lower than I usually like.
