It has to be the right one, if we put it to vote, there will be biased results. If I accept the order posted by a random member at a random time it makes the league look stupid, as much as I wanted to accept it, I just couldn't.

1) GD mentioned he was going to do it, before he did it, and there wasn't much in the way of objections.

2) At least one other person was e-mailed the draft order, directly from draft order results, so it's not like GD could have rolled 5 times and just kept the one he liked the best.

3) If GD was 1 and TRM was 2, I'd ask for a reroll, but given that these guys are 13 and 19 respectively, I can't see them rigging the system or even a perception of rigging.

 

So, I say let it stand (and given that I'm 18th, I don't have any self-interest in keeping it how it is).

I like BTS but you are being dishonest if you think that I would be selective in my outrage. This is probably the most important process possible, and I can easily see BTS harboring resentment for a long time through no fault of his own. He's easy going so I don't expect this to be the case, but its definitely very unfair and I think the fact that the draft order appears to be legitimately randomized should be taken into account.

 

I understand Spittin's point of view here and he's in a tough spot but I think there's no right answer here. In my opinion, long term health of the league is best served by accepting the draft order and sanctioning GD for being an idiot.

 

Also, I don't really think you understand the dynamic between myself and Greenwood. He's one of my favourite people on this board and has been for years.

Unless someone thinks GD did not legitimately randomize it, then I see no argument for a do over.

 

Him doing it on a whim might have been slightly egregious but to completely re-do it would be even more egregious.
