It's never a matter of "I think this and you think that and that's OK" with Grant. It's "I think this, you don't think properly".

I think it's fine that you don't like Estrada. I just posted my point of view and thought process and you went off on a completely different tangent. It can never be just about baseball with you and that's why you get upset.

The entire exchange could have been pleasant if you'd posted your ideas about Estrada without taking the extra step of not subtly implying that I was misled by a bad habit of taking a cursory glance at Steamer and forming an uneducated opinion. This is the exact type of thing you do all the time, and it's why people find you so difficult to get along with.

You would be smart to take this to heart:

"Poe's law is an Internet adage which states that, without a clear indicator of the author's intent, parodies of extreme views will, to some readers, be indistinguishable from sincere expressions of the parodied views."

If you don't make false assumptions about other people's statements, you'll receive better feedback from them.

So when you, multiple times, directed a post at me that included a suggestion not to form my opinion by taking a cursory glance at Steamer, you were in no way suggesting that I had formed my opinion by taking a cursory glance at Steamer. OK Grant.

Ok, you're just ignoring me I guess. I'm not going to waste any more of my time with your nonsense when I can talk about baseball with others. Put me on your IL if you don't think I contribute useful information.

I know that was addressed to you you, but I'm not implying that you have a personality disorder. I just don't think they should go untreated.

If someone had implied that, I would find the idea that you could derive one's personality from an internet message board to be quite comical and extremely misguided.

Kind of weird that Grant is considering offering Estrada a contract when he's barely pitched in the AL.

should jays offer estrada a QO?

If the rumours of the teams interested in Estrada are true, 12-15 AAV, I'd do it in a heartbeat.

Am I the only one who thinks Iwakuma is a good fit?

lol... no, he'd be an excellent sign.

Lackey, the guy we absolutely hated only a couple seasons ago.

What does that matter? yer dumn

A lot of people bringing up Fister lately. He looked finished this year. Fastball sitting mid-80s and like 5% swinging strike rate. Would not sign.

Eeeeewww... he can GTFO!

And I really hope Dickey is gone.

I think Dickey's option at 10 million(2 million buyout, sunk cost) is extremely valuable, the guy's a great get at that price, his innings will be needed.

Here are the FA relievers: http://www.spotrac.com/mlb/free-agents/relief-pitcher/

Bastardo (10.05 K/9 and consistently above 10 K/9 since 2010) and Madson seem like solid options. And ffs, I see Hendriks had 1.5 fWAR, good enough for 17th in baseball among relievers and of course his post-season usage was near nil.

Very frustrating, he(Hendriks) should close for us, if Osuna's moved to the rotation, which he should. Bastardo would be a great pick up, a lefty who K's that much is pretty valuable, plus Angrioter would be happy(his cousin). :P

I don't really see a scenario where a draft pick will be forfeited. I you offer comp he'll take it. There's no way the Jays are getting that pick. You either sign him for the comp amount, try to negotiate something better or cut bait.

MLB Trade Rumours posted several teams are interested in him for 3 years, 12-15 AAV, he wont take the QO.(15.8, estimated)

I'm with Zeros on this one.

Sorry Grant, lol.

12M with 1M buyout, for a 2+ WAR pitcher, who can throw 230 innings, we will need him and for that price it's a bargain.

12 million yeah, regardless, great value.

12 for 2 WAR starter that can give you 230 innings... that's not great value, that's a stone cold steal

you won't get another #4 or #5 starter with his up side for close to that price.

Trade Dickey after picking up the option and sign Colon. Much better option IMO and he'll cost us probably $10M on a one year contract. His BB/9 numbers are so sexy and guaranteed 200 IP

lol in what world is he guaranteed 200 IP? Literally had over 200 IP once in the last 10 years...

He's had 190+ IP in the past 3 years, 2 of which is in the NL where they get pulled early. Barring any sort of major health problems he should be getting 200 IP easy
