Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted October 17, 2015 Posted October 17, 2015 How frustrating is it that Yost is hitting Gordon 8th and Escobar lead off? That must grind your gears. Our very own Erin Andrews

thatoneguy Old-Timey Member Posted October 17, 2015 Posted October 17, 2015 This should be our lineup Revere Donaldson Bautista Encarnacion Martin Smoak Tulowitzki Pillar Goins Nice Balance in the lineup. Cola is a bench player who is excellent against lefties don't make him out to be someone has is not. Smoak can't put up a quality AB to save his life right now.
BTS Community Moderator Posted October 17, 2015 Posted October 17, 2015 Our very own Erin Andrews I'm legit curious on a Royals fan's take. The whole phenomenon is remarkable to me.
Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted October 17, 2015 Posted October 17, 2015 ... I know the BABIP. He has been doing that all year with leaving runners on base. We got 2 singles. Not really. His HR/FB is a bit low though.
The real boys in blue Verified Member Posted October 17, 2015 Posted October 17, 2015 I'm just glad Ventura is pitching at home tomorrow cause you guys would kill him in Toronto
Billy Bats Verified Member Posted October 17, 2015 Posted October 17, 2015 nevermind smoak, tulo's bat sucks major major rhinoceros dick. it is masked by his home run in game 3, but truth of the matter is tulo hasn't hit since he came here and has been an automatic out. usually a strike out and in key situations. over rated bat if you ask me. we're still gonna win the series tho, price is gonna pitch a f***in shutout!!! WOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!
Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted October 17, 2015 Posted October 17, 2015 I'm just glad Ventura is pitching at home tomorrow cause you guys would kill him in Toronto We'll probably kill him anyway tbh
Nafro Verified Member Posted October 17, 2015 Posted October 17, 2015 That was early Cincinnati Volquez velocity.
Grant77 Old-Timey Member Posted October 17, 2015 Posted October 17, 2015 I was talking to Grant, his troll resistance needs some upgrading. I respect a decent troll, just too bad the f***ing idiot bandwagon hockey fans in this city gave you some free ammo. What's your problem? I was just stating a fact and I barely watch hockey.
Dr Negative Verified Member Posted October 17, 2015 Posted October 17, 2015 Worst part of this game was that we didn't force them to use Davis.
EMK19 Verified Member Posted October 17, 2015 Posted October 17, 2015 We may need both Cola and Smoak to start tm the way things are looking. I doubt EE plays tm, last time this happened he needed 3 days off. With Price going and it being (hopefully) a low scoring ball game I don't think Gibby will be risking EE out there tomorrow and give him the full 2 days off. That damn finger/knuckle, maybe he'll need to have a surgery on that or something in the offseason... it's been really, really annoyingly lingering.
Inklink Old-Timey Member Posted October 17, 2015 Posted October 17, 2015 You took the car flag down after Game 2? Come on, dude. No I take it off at night (didn't want it to get wet) and put it on in the morning! I put it back on earlier this week but didn't drive on Wednesday = no flag = Game 5 win! lol
Nafro Verified Member Posted October 17, 2015 Posted October 17, 2015 You are aware Chris Colabello has seven hits this post season.....

I've been a fan for so long and we've been absolute garbage for years but I still went and cheered. Now that we're good we just kinda go with the flow. If it ain't broke don't fix it. Not sure how it works but it has.
BigCecil Old-Timey Member Posted October 17, 2015 Posted October 17, 2015 Worst part of this game was that we didn't force them to use Davis. ....using Hawkins over Hendriks again cost us a chance to come back and also to get some swings on Davis.
Nafro Verified Member Posted October 17, 2015 Posted October 17, 2015 Anyway, we will get them tomorrow.
The real boys in blue Verified Member Posted October 17, 2015 Posted October 17, 2015 Haha will see lol

Now that we're good we just kinda go with the flow. If it ain't broke don't fix it. Not sure how it works but it has. They're a fun team to watch. I've always thought Dayton Moore was an idiot, but going cheap on mediocre flyball pitchers and stacking the OF with great defenders in Kauffman stadium was pretty brilliant. That and the lockdown pen really gives the team an identity.
rookiefuzz Verified Member Posted October 17, 2015 Posted October 17, 2015 Volquez pitched very well. Buck and Reynolds were so hot over his velocity but it was his outside fastball command which lead to his success. Home plate umpire called a good game too. Buck and Reynolds may lead me to muting the tube for the rest of the series. So hot for KC.

The real boys in blue Verified Member Posted October 17, 2015 Posted October 17, 2015 It's funny about Joe Buck cause KC fans freaking hate him. Last year it was all Bumgarner is so great. Which he was but we didn't want to hear it lol
pickoff22 Verified Member Posted October 17, 2015 Posted October 17, 2015 Worst part of this game was that we didn't force them to use Davis. who cares, they're not gonna use him when we're up by 6 tomorrow anyways
Brans Verified Member Posted October 17, 2015 Posted October 17, 2015 Smoak can't put up a quality AB to save his life right now. Justin Smoak is a player who needs AB for him to get his timing. Certain players are better suited to starting then coming off the bench. Cola is better suited for coming of the bench PH or starting against lefties. Cola in his career is not great against right handed hitters. One of my biggest concerns about this team is we have too many right hitters with Cola in the started lineup we have seven right handed hitters. That makes in easier for hand handed pitchers.
rookiefuzz Verified Member Posted October 17, 2015 Posted October 17, 2015 You are aware Chris Colabello has seven hits this post season..... Seriously. He made a gravy pick at first with that nasty hop to keep that one inning for Estrada manageable. He also hit the ball hard what? 3 times tonight with one hit to show for it. Colas job to lose now.
thatoneguy Old-Timey Member Posted October 17, 2015 Posted October 17, 2015 Lol did someone just ask Cola about possibly going down 3-0 and trying to come back?
EMK19 Verified Member Posted October 17, 2015 Posted October 17, 2015 Well Smoak will likely get his at bats tomorrow... I seriously doubt EE plays in tm's game. Smoak will probably see nothing but change and curves from Ventura though if they're competant enough to have done the obvious scouting report.

Certain players are better suited to starting then coming off the bench. Cola is better suited for coming of the bench..... This might work mid season but I'm not giving him AB's to get his timing back. Bring Shultz to chuck him some 97 mph heaters during BP to get it back. And make sure he takes the breaking ball machine home. Make him shower, sleep and cook with it.
Krylian Old-Timey Member Posted October 17, 2015 Posted October 17, 2015 Lol did someone just ask Cola about possibly going down 3-0 and trying to come back? No. The guy said something to the effect of it only being 0-1 and they've shown they can come back from 0-2 so the team must not be too worried. Cola said, ya...I don't think we're trying to go down 0-3 and work a comeback like they had to in the last series.
Arjun Nimmala Vancouver Canadians - A+ SS It's been slow going at the start of the season for Nimmala, but on Sunday, he was 3-for-5 with his 3rd home run and 3 RBI. Explore Arjun Nimmala News >
