Give me a break with this. Gibbons has mismanaged him since they clinched the division.

 

I'll grant some "mismanagement", but the guy's era just got pushed over 5 I think in the post-season with a 50 inning sample. There's a point where you have to stop making excuses and acknowledge some people change for the worse when the pressure's on.

TBH, Price is now the one Gibbons should not trust to give us a clean start, not Dickey, or Estrada. When Price starts from now on, we should have Dickey or Estrada getting loose in the bullpen in the first inning.

Lui win gold and world championships, took a team game 7 SCF. Had two shutouts in SCF, his team scored on 7-8 goals in 7 games.

 

so much this. he was the only guy to show up in the finals. the rest of the team was crap.

Maybe we can trade him back to Detroit for Norris while we're at it.

Price is obviously suffering from arm fatigue. It's not like they're going to announce it though.

I'll be surprised if he starts another game in the post-season.

 

I doubt it, the fastball is still touching 97/98 and his the movement on his other pitches is still top notch. It's all mental which is causing him to miss his location.

This is all so puzzling. Maybe Gibbons got Price in after 4 2/3 because he feared that the Blue Jays might score a bunch of runs in the top of the sixth and then it would make no sense to put Price in.

 

It seems obvious to me that Gibbons just wanted to make Price unavailable for game 5.

Or how about just stick with what's gotten you here and not start panicking with 4+ run leads? That'd be nice.
