G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted October 7, 2015 Author Posted October 7, 2015 Arrieta is such a machine A sneaky, strike-throwing, no-home-run-giving machine
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted October 7, 2015 Author Posted October 7, 2015 This has a chance to be the best game in recent history. Agreed So, naturally, it will probably be a sloppy 12-3 blowout or something
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted October 7, 2015 Author Posted October 7, 2015 Also, Arrieta has OWNED the Pirates all year http://m.mlb.com/news/article/153363712/can-pirates-beat-cubs-pitcher-jake-arrieta The Pirates faced Arrieta five times this season and won only one of those games. They struck out more often than they got on base against him.

o2cui2i Community Moderator Posted October 8, 2015 Posted October 8, 2015 The Cubs are going to be such a force for the next decade. young and controllable talent for years. Astros and Cubs for years. those two are going to be powerhouse teams going forward
BTS Community Moderator Posted October 8, 2015 Posted October 8, 2015 young and controllable talent for years. Astros and Cubs for years. those two are going to be powerhouse teams going forward Two best young cores in the game IMO. Hopefully Houston is allowed to spend enough money to keep their together and supplement it.
dineke Old-Timey Member Posted October 8, 2015 Posted October 8, 2015 The TNT basketball guy does baseball?
reedjohnsonfan Verified Member Posted October 8, 2015 Posted October 8, 2015 liam hendriks in habs gear' date=' wtf liam you're from Australia and never played for the expos so what's up with that lol[/quote'] You know what, I could be wrong but I THINK he was on the radio last season and said his girlfriend (maybe wife?) is from Montreal.
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted October 8, 2015 Posted October 8, 2015 The TNT basketball guy does baseball? Ernie Johnson yes.
dineke Old-Timey Member Posted October 8, 2015 Posted October 8, 2015 Ernie Johnson yes. Does he know anything about baseball or did Turner not have any money to hire a real baseball announcer?
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted October 8, 2015 Posted October 8, 2015 Does he know anything about baseball or did Turner not have any money to hire a real baseball announcer? Hes done the last couple of playoffs. Hes kind of iconic in that company so they probably asked him and didn't consider anyone else.

Hopefully Houston is allowed to spend enough money to keep their together and supplement it. Astros will definitely need to add a little experience, but if they spend correctly it wont be that expensive. they should have the budget after spending nothing the past couple of years.
