King Old-Timey Member Posted July 3, 2016 Posted July 3, 2016 Woodman redeems himself slightly with a strong throw to home to save a run. The runner was out by a mile. Ya that was a cannon. What did you think of Ravel?
43211234 Verified Member Posted July 3, 2016 Posted July 3, 2016 Ya that was a cannon. What did you think of Ravel? I thought your analysis was spot on, especially regarding the mix of pitches. I didn't see any worthwhile breaking ball thrown. Javier Hernandez looks like he has a cannon.

43211234 Verified Member Posted July 3, 2016 Posted July 3, 2016 It did not! It's back now but I missed the top of the 6th when it cut to some weird coverage of BC forest fires and then a story on some choir of old people!
John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted July 3, 2016 Posted July 3, 2016 I can get it here in Lethbridge, AB too, just not in HD. Remaining broadcast schedule this year: July 9 vs. Tri-City July 23 vs. Eugene July 30 vs. Tri-City August 20 vs. Boise
King Old-Timey Member Posted July 3, 2016 Posted July 3, 2016 Evan Smith gascanning this 1-1 game lol
King Old-Timey Member Posted July 3, 2016 Posted July 3, 2016 Canadians walk it off.. Woodman scores the winning run, Javier Hernandez with the single to win it.
metafour Verified Member Posted July 3, 2016 Posted July 3, 2016 If you’re looking for early 1-1 candidates for the 2018 draft, be sure to place Brady Singer (2018, RHP, Florida) squarely on the list. While he shows that he still has aspects of his game to develop further, he’s also advanced immensely since arriving on campus and now looks like a clear cut early first rounder in waiting. Singer was outstanding in his Cape Cod League debut on Saturday, as the lanky righty tossed six innings of one hit shutout baseball for Falmouth.
Krylian Old-Timey Member Posted July 3, 2016 Author Posted July 3, 2016 Maese leaves the game after 10 pitches. Haven't looked into it, just saw the boxscore... But I'm assuming it's not good.

Krylian Old-Timey Member Posted July 4, 2016 Author Posted July 4, 2016 Any doubt that SRF is Prospect #1? http://www.milb.com/images/656887/t424/180x270/656887.jpg

Sorrow Verified Member Posted July 4, 2016 Posted July 4, 2016 Well Rowdy is also killing it right now I'm inclined to give it to Rowdy because we haven't developed a good offensive prospect in a really long time and the only one that may have been solid (Snider) was rushed and then hampered with wrist injuries.

Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted July 4, 2016 Posted July 4, 2016 1-Tellez 2-SRF Bichette over Alford
King Old-Timey Member Posted July 4, 2016 Posted July 4, 2016 no. Both lefty 1B/DH bats that crush RHP but can't hit lefties. If Tellez in 10 years has a 130 career wRC+ vs RHP I think you take that every time.
King Old-Timey Member Posted July 4, 2016 Posted July 4, 2016 Maybe Tellez will be better though.. who knows. Tellez now hitting .310/.427/.571 against RHP in AA. thats obscene
John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted July 4, 2016 Posted July 4, 2016 Alford is off the map now. Slightly premature to be writing his prospect obituary. Injuries are probably a huge reason for his struggles this year

If Tellez in 10 years has a 130 career wRC+ vs RHP I think you take that every time. Tellez can probably hit lefties just fine, judging from his contact abilities. I wouldn't pay much attention to minor league splits. Rowdy is a hulk who I think has all of the tools for becoming a Freeman/Rizzo quality 1B. I mean obviously if he becomes Adam Lind you take it, but I just think he's a different type of player. He's bigger, more physical, probably 100 times smarter, seems to have better strike zone control, might have more raw than Lind. Lind is just a lazy dunce with a sweet swing.
