He's probably not a 12+K guy...and he's probably not a 5+K guy either.

Likely at the level he should be at to learn the next step of striking people out again.

Usually when you draft college "pure hitters" like JB Woodman in the second round they are supposed to destroy short season right?

He has a 40%k and ops of 500, wtf

He is not as good of a hitter yet as his draft position suggested. He really came on this season, but hasn't been that good before now.

14. Angel Perdomo, lhp, Blue Jays

Team: low Class A Lansing (Midwest)

Age: 22

Why He’s Here: 0-0, 2.70, 6.2 IP, 4 H, 2 R, 12 SO, 3 BB

The Scoop: The 6-foot-6 lefthander threw just three pitches in the Midwest League all-star game on June 21, but that was enough to elicit buzz on the field and press box. Perdomo has a crisp fastball that touches 93 mph, but his long levers make the ball look like it’s jumping on the batter. His slider flashes at least average, but his changeup is still in development.

Dawel Lugo, 3b, Diamondbacks

The Blue Jays signed Lugo out of the Dominican Republic for $1.3 million in 2011, and he established himself as one of the organization’s Top 10 Prospects by 2013. Things went south for Lugo last year at high class A Dunedin, however, and Toronto cut bait with him when he was just 20, trading Lugo last August to the Diamondbacks for two months of Cliff Pennington. Arizona moved Lugo moved off shortstop to third base, and he has rediscovered the success that made him a top prospect, hitting .294/.331/.479 with 11 home runs and 34 RBI at high Class A Visalia. He’s also been a vacuum at the hot corner and showed off an impressive arm from deep down the line in the California-Carolina League All-Star Game. The tools for a smooth swing were always there for Lugo, and a fresh start in a new organization has allowed him to find a rhythm and blossom. (KG)

I wonder what happened to Francisco Rios? Since his callup to high A, his K/9 has plummeted from 12+ to 5.

His first 3 high A games were great. Likely just working on his curve or changeup or something to strengthen his arsenal.

I would love to see what Norberto Obeso could do at a higher level, like Vancouver.

He takes a walk like a serious mother f***er

Do you have reports or not?

Worse then that kid you worshipped

On here? What was his name?

Where did he go? Lol

According to being a below league average hitter as a 22 year old in the gulf coast league.

If dude goes undrafted, it's a safe bet that he's a nothing protect. Could he turn into something? Sure. But I could also win the lottery next week too.

Didn't get to go to the Canadians game today unfortunately. Hopefully I will be able to at some point this season

Just tuned in on Shaw.

Orozco leads off the bottom of the first with a full-count walk. Thrown out trying to steal. Great their from the catcher though.

JB Woodman crushes a ball to right-centre for a double.

I'm watching too. Ravel looks pretty bad, throwing mostly fastballs at 88-91 and not commanding it that well. Getting hit around a bit - He's pitching to contact this was one of things I read about him after we drafted him. Haven't seen a swinging strike yet. Hernandez looks pretty good behind the plate good receiving and a strong throwing arm.

Also.. Woodman with the lazy throw into the cutoff man with a runner on 3rd had the runner taking home pretty easily, although that was pretty aggressive baserunning.
