dineke Old-Timey Member Posted September 22, 2015 Posted September 22, 2015 Fatty again? Japanese guy? Are we punting this game?
Governator Community Moderator Posted September 22, 2015 Posted September 22, 2015 Wait, King's not doing this whole series? Edit: With Kawasaki in, I guess it's fitting.
KingKat Old-Timey Member Posted September 22, 2015 Posted September 22, 2015 Fatty again? Japanese guy? Are we punting this game? The team doesn't have a healthy starting MI so rotating the backup guys is pretty inconsequential. Navarro is more puzzling.
HERPDERP Old-Timey Member Posted September 22, 2015 Posted September 22, 2015 Fatty again? Japanese guy? Are we punting this game? 1.) Navarro catches Estrada 2.) Pennington has the yips
KingKat Old-Timey Member Posted September 22, 2015 Posted September 22, 2015 1.) Navarro catches Estrada That's annoying.
HERPDERP Old-Timey Member Posted September 22, 2015 Posted September 22, 2015 free ticket to tonight's game, get it asap edit: taken
HERPDERP Old-Timey Member Posted September 22, 2015 Posted September 22, 2015 That's annoying. I guess you could go with Martin the whole seres and throw Thole for Dickey, but why risk a good thing going on with Estrada-Navvy
KingKat Old-Timey Member Posted September 22, 2015 Posted September 22, 2015 I guess you could go with Martin the whole seres and throw Thole for Dickey, but why risk a good thing going on with Estrada-Navvy I'd like Martin to transition to catching pretty much everybody by the playoffs but I suppose the Yankees series isn't necesarilly the best time for changes. This screams of superstition more than good managing though. Is there really any evidence that Navarro calls a better game than Martin?
Governator Community Moderator Posted September 22, 2015 Posted September 22, 2015 I'd like Martin to transition to catching pretty much everybody by the playoffs but I suppose the Yankees series isn't necesarilly the best time for that. There's no doubt that will be the plan but I don't think there is a need to transition him to playing every day. In the ALDS there are off days between games 2 & 3 and 4 & 5 and depending how quickly the series ends, there is anywhere from 1-4 days off between the division & championship series. I don't think he'll burn out, the off days probably fit within his current schedule.
Trouba95 Old-Timey Member Posted September 22, 2015 Posted September 22, 2015 f*** YOU MUNI. You know it's f***ing King's GDT.
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted September 22, 2015 Posted September 22, 2015 Finally a new GDT Was much needed
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted September 22, 2015 Posted September 22, 2015 Go Jays Gotta win the series
Trouba95 Old-Timey Member Posted September 22, 2015 Posted September 22, 2015 Guaranteed loss tonight.
Effit Old-Timey Member Posted September 22, 2015 Posted September 22, 2015 I'm not thrilled with the pitching matchup.
Sorrow Verified Member Posted September 22, 2015 Posted September 22, 2015 Fatty again? Japanese guy? Are we punting this game? As it sits today Kawakasi is the back up MIF in the playoffs. He needs some at bats.
Trouba95 Old-Timey Member Posted September 22, 2015 Posted September 22, 2015 Why do people hijack other posters' GDT turns? We all know this is King's spot and this idiot Muni does this again. He's lost almost every time.

CHRIS Verified Member Posted September 22, 2015 Posted September 22, 2015 I find these the creation of these GDTs fascinating. I certainly don't believe in jinxes or that it makes a difference who starts them, but I find the compulsion to steal one from somebody else (if that's even a thing), with the knowledge that you're going to upset a lot of people by doing so (and that people get so upset!) just really, really, interesting.
nextyear Verified Member Posted September 22, 2015 Posted September 22, 2015 Estrada has a much lower ERA with Navarro catching than Martin (please no time machine remarks regarding the use of ERA). ERA is perfectly legitimate in comparing pitchers on the same team (but not when comparing pitchers on other teams since ERA is so strongly influenced by team defense). I think Navarro is far more cerebral than he is given credit for (maybe because of his accent). I hope Navarro will catch Estrada in the playoffs because they work best together and because Navarro deserves it.
Trouba95 Old-Timey Member Posted September 22, 2015 Posted September 22, 2015 Has King even lost vs the Yanks this yr? I don't think so.

Thats why i am going to hijack a playoff one and really send people for a f***ing loup
500LevelSTH Verified Member Posted September 22, 2015 Posted September 22, 2015 Heading to the Dome now, jacked for tonight and tomorrow in attendance big games. Will make the weekend vs TB. Glad Pennington is out, preferred Darwin but cest la vie
nextyear Verified Member Posted September 22, 2015 Posted September 22, 2015 I am excited to watch the game. It was tough to focus on work today. Kawasaki is playing; I hope he gets a couple hits, a walk and maybe a sac bunt, along with being involved in a couple of defensive double plays. How can anyone not like Kawasaki
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted September 22, 2015 Posted September 22, 2015 Fatty again? Japanese guy? Are we punting this game? Severino has extreme platoon splits. Pennington has looked awful of late so a day off is probably the right call. Kawa only gets 2-3 ABs likely as you can PH after the 6th and put Barney in for defense.
Candy Maldonado Old-Timey Member Posted September 22, 2015 Posted September 22, 2015 I'm making tomorrow's GDT right now.

It's not fascinating lol. It's beyond annoying and not funny at all. It's a tired joke and makes me want to punch these kids through the screen
King Old-Timey Member Posted September 22, 2015 Posted September 22, 2015 http://i.imgur.com/CUhNFdr.png I trust in MKMVP. Calm down, everyone!
