RealAccountant Old-Timey Member Posted September 13, 2015 Posted September 13, 2015 Who do the Jays matchup the best against.
reedjohnsonfan Verified Member Posted September 13, 2015 Posted September 13, 2015 Rangers. Am not convinced they are legitimately a good team. Hamels would be tough, Gallardo has been annoying but that's about it.
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted September 13, 2015 Posted September 13, 2015 Rangers. Their 2 best starters are LH which Jays mash and their lineup isn't that good.
5minutesforframing Verified Member Posted September 13, 2015 Posted September 13, 2015 Doesn't matter who they face, Jays are the best.
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted September 13, 2015 Posted September 13, 2015 Whooooooooo Geeeeeeeeeefs a Faaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaawwwwwwk!
EMK19 Verified Member Posted September 13, 2015 Posted September 13, 2015 I'd go with Astros. Tough pitchers no doubt but we tee off Lefties for most part so I like our lineup's chances even if its against Keuchel/Kazmir. Their lineup doesn't scare me and as a collective group, a bit less experienced in the playoffs than the Rangers' bunch.
nextyear Verified Member Posted September 13, 2015 Posted September 13, 2015 I would like to see the Yankees. The Blue Jays have played well against them this year and it is a team that the Blue Jays and fans know well. I would have far less interest in watching them play the Astros or Rangers.

First time in the playoffs in 22 years and you wouldn't be as interested?
Leafs2726 Verified Member Posted September 13, 2015 Posted September 13, 2015 Any team not in the AL east. Division teams are the most difficult IMO. I'll take anyone else. Best chances to win. IMO of course.
jays_fever Old-Timey Member Posted September 13, 2015 Posted September 13, 2015 Rangers. Astros much better bullpen
Trouba95 Old-Timey Member Posted September 13, 2015 Posted September 13, 2015 Rangers if we take the 1st seed and the Rangers beat out the Yanks in the WC game (that is, assuming we win the division).
nextyear Verified Member Posted September 13, 2015 Posted September 13, 2015 First time in the playoffs in 22 years and you wouldn't be as interested? The reason for watching sports is to be entertained so playing a team that is the easiest to beat isn't very exciting to me; just like watching a Blue Jays blowout isn't as exciting as watching a close game whether or not it is a win (a close win is best though). In any case, the Yankees might be the easiest to beat.
BigCecil Old-Timey Member Posted September 13, 2015 Posted September 13, 2015 I don't care. We will decimate all our opponents to relive our 92 and 93 glory.
L54 Old-Timey Member Posted September 13, 2015 Posted September 13, 2015 Rangers are the worst team out of those 3, so I'll go ahead and say them.
Billy Bats Verified Member Posted September 14, 2015 Posted September 14, 2015 lol who are you people voting Rangers? Gallardo throws fire against the Jays and Cole Hamels wouldn't be a push over either. and we aren't as familiar with the Astros either. We have beaten the Yankees down pretty good this year and lit up Tanaka already who they would start game 1 at the dome. we havent' even technically made the playoffs yet, although we will lol Yankees no doubt about it
BlueJayWay Verified Member Posted September 14, 2015 Posted September 14, 2015 The Astros kind of scare me for some reason.
guylaroche5 Verified Member Posted September 14, 2015 Posted September 14, 2015 God forbid we get matched up with ACE_Gallardo
SAAviour Verified Member Posted September 14, 2015 Posted September 14, 2015 I'm getting scared Cleveland is going to make it in, probably the best team of the bunch. I would love to face Minnesota! I'll go with Yankees for the poll though cause one they suck, and two I would love to beat them in a series. Tanaka would own us but we would have Price to match up against him.
Mozzer Verified Member Posted September 14, 2015 Posted September 14, 2015 Doesn't matter who they face, Jays are the best. This statement is the truth of the matter. Every Team should be fearing Toronto. Facing Kansas or New York in a best of 5 would be the only scenarios I would be slightly concerned over, with the latter being possible but still not likely. In a best of seven I'll take Toronto over anyone in the AL. The NL has a few teams that will be tough match ups though - hopefully it comes to that.

Only way that happens is if Cleveland clobbers the Royals and its other remaining competition, Rangers slide vs. the Astros, and the Twins regress.. and I don't see the Angels being considered, due to their lack of offensive depth and questions with pitching.
Dick_Pole Old-Timey Member Posted September 14, 2015 Posted September 14, 2015 WTH are people thinking? The Yankees are the oldest, beat up recently and have the worst top 3-4 rotation of those three choices. Oh, and the Jays have used Yankee Stadium as a launching pad all year: 8-2. They are undoubtedly the team out of those three you'd want to face. Angels and Twins are the obvious preference but for now they are on the outside looking in.
RealAccountant Old-Timey Member Posted September 14, 2015 Author Posted September 14, 2015 Yankees have a lot of playoffs experience
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted September 14, 2015 Posted September 14, 2015 Yankees have a lot of playoffs experience sure helped them this weekend.
