The standouts in this game for me.. Dickey, bullpen, Tulo with a huge hit even though he's been struggling.

Don't forget the great throw from martin. He may not be hitting but great to have a catcher who can throw guys out.

now that everyone is happy, can someone objectively tell me why that was/wasn't a homerun?

Seemed like it hit squarely right on the corner of the monster there. I'm guessing the ball needs to catch most of that top portion of the monster fence for it to be ruled a hr, or they simply just didn't have enough of that camera evidence so they kept the call on the field...?

Thing is though that triple call kept the pressure of the inning going instead of clearing the bases, which resulted in their young pitcher falling apart mentally resulting in our big inning. Who knows if all that could have happened if that was called a homer...

I wouldn't consider Ogando "young"

Thing is, if the ball catches more of the top of the wall, it would bounce into the stands or off the short railing at the back edge. Either way, it would be easy to determine it's a HR. Where JD's ball hit was like getting hit by lightning.

Best show ever!

Definitely. I didn't really appreciate it at the start but later on had to binge watch all those reruns daily.

Awesome finish! Good to see Dickster getting it done. Pillar was so unlucky on that lineout to KFP in the 8th. Didn't particularly like Bautista's body language when he flew out in the 10th. He looked like he was pulling a Lawrie and being pissy because he didn't get an RBI. Otherwise let's beat these chumps once more and have a nice lead heading into NY.

Nah The Wire, Sopranos and Breaking bad are the holy trinity. Seinfeld is up there though.

Well you're comparing apples to oranges...

He's so awkward asking the stupidest questions. He's like Fergie Olver but worse.

Took a while to explain he came up for a new term "Fenway'd" then asked donaldson "what was going through his head" while they were reviewing the home run lol

Yeah, I didn't think it was a home run either when I watched the replay. Not sure if there's any special ground rules at Boston for this but I remember seeing a fluky one at Roger's Center a long time ago that hit exactly at the top-corner and it bounced back into play for a double. The wall is thicker at Fenway so not sure if there's a different rule.
