I'd even mod here. I've stopped posting because there are far too many people who intentionally troll.

 

I'm all for conflicting opinions if the discourse is civil but half the time the arguments turn into "Yo bruh, I'll punch you" or "Yo bro, you're dumb" instead of actually doing anything.

Equality is important. A very thick skin is also very important.

 

I hope that if another moderator is added it will be someone who understands Sabermetrics but tempers that knowledge with an enjoyment of the game of baseball, which is played by humans and anything can happen on any day. In other words, I hope it won't be a fundamentalist Sabermetrics extremist; if it is, I am sure that I will be permanently banned on his/her very first day.

Not that I've ever been asked or would be nominated but no way I could do it anyway. My wife already thinks I'm a complete freak for the amount of time I spend on the Jays and this Board as it is. So does my 7 year old. They take a lot of s*** but I appreciate O2 and all the mods for the time they put in.

I got banned today and I am not a troll so what is going on there, I signed up today but have always followed this form from the beginning and even the old board. I go to Jays games, got flex pack tickets for the past few years, go to Spring Training, and I get banned for contributing to a form without trolling.

I'll fully admit that I am not nearly as active on here as I used to be and it's a problem. I used to be on here all day and could take care of business single handedly at times. I currently am absent for days at a time. Chappy seems to be on here even less. We will get ahold of admin and discuss. Hurl knows how.

If the Jays were winning organically, I think the trolls would have been less prevalent. However, adding two superstar names will bring out the casuals more than anything.

Excellent idea. Anyone who wants to post on this forum will surely be willing to wait 24 hours. That would cut down on the trolling accounts. It would also eliminate people from creating a new account within minutes of being banned.
