FirstPitchStrike Verified Member Posted August 12, 2015 Posted August 12, 2015 Hey Everyone, Flex packs are on sale now for the rest of the season. It seems like there's only one section available for a total of $324. All the premium games are included. Go Jays:D
HERPDERP Old-Timey Member Posted August 12, 2015 Posted August 12, 2015 Looks like all games will be sold out from here on out..
RealAccountant Old-Timey Member Posted August 12, 2015 Posted August 12, 2015 Looks like all games will be sold out from here on out.. I wonder what the incremental increase in revenue is for the last 30 games. If we say that the jays will have say 12000 more fans a game with each fan contributing an average of $50 that is $600k a game. There are very few costs of the incremental increase in attendance but suppose it's $100k per game. That's an operating increase of $500k a game times 30 is $15 Million from attendance alone

Use $30-$40 as an average and you're looking at 9-15 million.
Travis_Snider Verified Member Posted August 12, 2015 Posted August 12, 2015 What section are the seats?

I'm not sure how the viewership works - I don't know if ad buys are made in advance, but next year Rogers can definitely ask for more for ads.

Travis_Snider Verified Member Posted August 12, 2015 Posted August 12, 2015 You get first offer of playoff seats too I think

I don't think teams get a significant cut from merchandise sales. I believe the bulk of that goes to the league.
Camps Verified Member Posted August 12, 2015 Posted August 12, 2015 Can these be transferred/resold. I.e. Will they all get snapped up by scalpers?
HERPDERP Old-Timey Member Posted August 12, 2015 Posted August 12, 2015 You get first offer of playoff seats too I think 2nd - season ticket holders get priority
HERPDERP Old-Timey Member Posted August 12, 2015 Posted August 12, 2015 Can these be transferred/resold. I.e. Will they all get snapped up by scalpers? If they work like regular flex packs, then yes they can be sold/transfered/printed/scalped. I'm planning on buying one pack and selling for $$$
RealAccountant Old-Timey Member Posted August 12, 2015 Posted August 12, 2015 I wonder what a playoff game on sportsnet is worth. 1.5M to 2M viewers for 2.5 hours
Travis_Snider Verified Member Posted August 12, 2015 Posted August 12, 2015 Are you guys in ticketmaster yet? I'm getting a unusuall amount of visitors accessing our site message and a loading bar

They've been advertising on the radio to business owners and the great 'partnership opportunities for the hottest thing in town', blah blah. You know it's going well when you are pitching to businesses via radio.
Camps Verified Member Posted August 12, 2015 Posted August 12, 2015 Says they're being delivered on a card? I bought a 6 pack but if I could sell a pair or two to cover costs, that would be nice.

Wasn't listed as an option for me.

What you do is you log in to your flex pack account (they will email you the login/pass s***) and then from there you can transfer the ticket to the card or transfer it to Print at Home, which you can upload to stubhub.

Nah. They are on the card by default. You can transfer them OFF the card to print or other means.
vdubmvp Old-Timey Member Posted August 12, 2015 Posted August 12, 2015 Waited probably close to an hour, picked my games and only got to choose from two sections. I wanted 100-level outfield so I switched one game and then it was an option. Wanted two tickets for each. Took me to a screen with nothing, so I figured maybe two seats together wasn't possible. Switched it to one ticket, as I don't really need to go with anyone. I'm somehow back in line again. This is stupid.

pickoff22 Verified Member Posted August 12, 2015 Posted August 12, 2015 You get first offer of playoff seats too I think You will have some sort of priority yes. I have season tickets and then also buy lots of flex packs each year. Last year my season ticket account had first access and could buy 4 seats in the same section as my seasons a week or two before everyone else. My flex pack account could buy whatever was available but there was no guarantee of what section you would get. So you might only get uppers even if your flex pack seats were lower bowls. My assumption is that these new 6 pack ticket holders will get access after the previous flex pack holders so the selection may be limited in terms of sections.

The blank screen thing happened to me as well, but when I clicked back in, it didn't make me wait in line again. That sucks.
HERPDERP Old-Timey Member Posted August 12, 2015 Posted August 12, 2015 Turns out you can't buy 2 tickets each for 6 games. Doesn't work.
