Doc Verified Member Posted August 8, 2015 Posted August 8, 2015 First off..I know there is another thread about this somewhere but I couldn't find it through a search. Anyways I decided to cancel my FibreoOp TV with Bell-Aliant and just get a subscription through MLB.com as the only TV I watch is Blue Jays baseball everyday. Anyways it was working fine until tonight's game, I'm guessing because of increased traffic. I have 150mbps down and 30 up. Just wondering if anyone else get's the same issues of stuttering pausing when big games are on? Cheers,
Candy Maldonado Old-Timey Member Posted August 8, 2015 Posted August 8, 2015 Stopped working for me tonight.
Doc Verified Member Posted August 8, 2015 Author Posted August 8, 2015 Well good to know I'm not the only one.
Candy Maldonado Old-Timey Member Posted August 8, 2015 Posted August 8, 2015 I use free streaming as a backup but the resolution isn't as good.
Doc Verified Member Posted August 8, 2015 Author Posted August 8, 2015 Ya I used to do that. I just wanted a reliable solution for now.
nmrch Verified Member Posted August 8, 2015 Posted August 8, 2015 works fine for me, and i have atleast 2 games on at the same time, sometimes 4

RealAccountant Old-Timey Member Posted August 8, 2015 Posted August 8, 2015 I am thinking about picking it up on the end of season offer Are the Jays game blocked in Canada.
0ctobyte Verified Member Posted August 8, 2015 Posted August 8, 2015 Yeah it was glitching out on me at times
0ctobyte Verified Member Posted August 8, 2015 Posted August 8, 2015 I am thinking about picking it up on the end of season offer Are the Jays game blocked in Canada. Nope! I just got a subscription last week and it's been working great!
Swervin81 Verified Member Posted August 8, 2015 Posted August 8, 2015 I always get MLB.tv during the father's day special. Just don't forget to cancel after the season so you don't get charged full price. Highly recommend it.
Candy Maldonado Old-Timey Member Posted August 8, 2015 Posted August 8, 2015 Never mind I fixed it. The app on my player wasn't working so I forced closed it and now it's fine.
RealAccountant Old-Timey Member Posted August 8, 2015 Posted August 8, 2015 Does Rogers still let customers watch the Bluejays on line for free?
TwistedLogic Old-Timey Member Posted August 8, 2015 Posted August 8, 2015 Does Rogers still let customers watch the Bluejays on line for free? Up until I stopped using Rogers a few months ago (had to because of the move to a new house) they did. See for yourself next time a game is on, I think it's rogersondemand.com.
JPArenshitia Verified Member Posted August 8, 2015 Posted August 8, 2015 Does Rogers still let customers watch the Bluejays on line for free? I have Rogers Cable, and i used the sportsnet now app on my tablet to stream and it worked perfectly.
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted August 8, 2015 Posted August 8, 2015 Mlbtv sucked tonight.
Inklink Old-Timey Member Posted August 8, 2015 Posted August 8, 2015 Does Rogers still let customers watch the Bluejays on line for free? Yes. The SportsnetNOW site (and app) are fantastic (well, sometimes the video doesn't start, but overall, I like it). I hope they never add a fee for it, since I already pay for the cable channels.
AdamLindsMom Verified Member Posted August 8, 2015 Posted August 8, 2015 I'm done with mlb.tv after this year. I've been a subscriber for like 9 years and they can never figure out the bugs. Tonight i'm watching on delay because i'm at my kids t-ball. My settings are start game from beginning and of course it starts live. Fortunately it started during a replay and i was able to move to the first without seeing the score. Then in the 7th with when Betances came in the game skipped forward to the 10th to live.

I'm watching Cubs/Giants game right now, it restarts after every inning which happens regularly. The jump to inning feature is often messed up too with innings starting mid inning. They realease apps constantly filled with bugs. I've got other options that are about 90% as good feature wise, more dependable and cheaper. This is my last year.

The whole pausing and going happened almost every single game I watched(not only the Jays). MLBTV gave some ******** tech support(sounded like they had no idea what they were talkin about). Was hoping they would fix it eventually but bever did so just cancelled it.
TBJ12 Verified Member Posted August 9, 2015 Posted August 9, 2015 I've always had problems with mlb.tv. Very rarely did I get to watch a smooth stream, always some sort of problem. I'm not a fan of the silence between innings either, I'd rather see commercials. I use the bell tv app to watch games when I'm out now.
CHRIS Verified Member Posted August 9, 2015 Posted August 9, 2015 I've only had it a few weeks, and it's been a bit glitch, but still better than paying Bell fees. Watched a game on my tablet with its app when the one on my TV wasn't working. No major problems for me yet. Will probably subscribe as long as there is no blackout.
