Speaking of the O's, with how bad they have been if DD was to be let go would you still be interested in him for President/replace Beaston? I would rather go after Dombrowski between the two as I felt Dequette was always overrated. Better than the Beast but overrated.

Would rather Dombrowski as well. Seems like he'd fit well with AA.

Dombrowski has left Detroit in a mess, although it might have been the owner's mandate to give out ridiculous contracts but who knows.

I hate speculating on what a GM could do without owner influence as we'll never know. I am not sure how much blame I can give to DD on those contracts given to Verlander and Carbera. They looked to be franchise corner stones for a team that was in the gutter a decade ago. If Verlander and Carbera were on other teams like the Nationals, Dodgers, Angles, Texas, New York Yanks, etc. the outcome would have likely been the same. Only budge teams like the Jays, A's, Rays, Mets and maybe Marlins would have traded them. Think only the A's and Rays would intentionally trade them for more assets rather than budget concerns.

Just wanted to say congrats on knocking the Yankees out of first place tonite. I have no love at all for the jays, but i hate the yankees more than anything.

I'm still here, just like my orioles. We are still hanging around in the wild card race. I know you guys hate the orioles, but they are gonna be in this thing till the end.

Yes, they are going to be amazing. Hey the jays have everything setup for them to win the World Series this year, it would be ashame to see them choke.

I would be content with making the first round of playoffs. (Not just 1 wildcard game though).
