I'd wait until the end of next week to start even thinking that. next 11 days will decide if are pretenders or contenders. 4 vs KC, 4 vs Twins and then 3 in NY. Jays need to roll off 8 wins in that stretch and sweep either NY or the Twinkies.

 

That's kind of it in a nutshell. They have to get through a tough team, make up ground, win a number in a row before anyone should really get their hopes up. However, with the fans tonight, the big trade, it does kind of make you feel like it a little bit, at least for tonight's game, but reality is there's a lot of ground to be made up in a short period of time. They can't afford to lose many more games especially against those in the division and the WC race.

Whether he started 0 for 22 or did what he did last night we know the reasons for the trade and a few ABs good or bad doesn't change anything in evaluating the deal. I would like it regardless.
