nextyear Verified Member Posted July 25, 2015 Posted July 25, 2015 It will be interesting to see if Hutchinson can pitch as effectively at Safeco Field as he does at the Rogers Centre.
labadee Verified Member Posted July 25, 2015 Posted July 25, 2015 I'd love for the jays to feast on Happ's soul today
Atothe Old-Timey Member Posted July 25, 2015 Posted July 25, 2015 I was reading something on Battersbox that linked me to a fangraphs community article about Travis' sign stealing. http://www.fangraphs.com/community/devon-travis-sign-stealer-2/

I thought the purpose of throwing down multiple signs was so the baserunner on 2nd can't steal the signs. If they're doing that and the signs are still being stolen, then the sign throwing is way too predictable

You really, really have to trust your base coaches there, seems like a guy concentrating on the signs being made the catcher is ripe for getting picked off. Assuming it's not a coincidence, there's nothing wrong with this. It crosses the line when you use external methods for sign stealing (signals in the crowd, ear pieces, whatever)
labadee Verified Member Posted July 25, 2015 Posted July 25, 2015 TL has been struggling recently. let's see if he can pick things up

Trouba95 Old-Timey Member Posted July 25, 2015 Posted July 25, 2015 Seattle is our new house of horror
Swervin81 Verified Member Posted July 25, 2015 Posted July 25, 2015 Can't say I've ever seen a pitcher manage to load the bases with no one out from scratch in just 5 pitches. That's impressively bad.
Jonzo Verified Member Posted July 25, 2015 Posted July 25, 2015 I've said it before, this guy is Brandon Morrow 2.0. Well always be waiting for him to take that "next step".
RealAccountant Old-Timey Member Posted July 25, 2015 Posted July 25, 2015 I've said it before, this guy is Brandon Morrow 2.0. Well always be waiting for him to take that "next step". He didn't need to take a next step Just hold on to the one he had taken last year But in classic Jays fashion
Jonzo Verified Member Posted July 25, 2015 Posted July 25, 2015 How depressing this must be for the regulars to watch in the first inning.
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted July 25, 2015 Posted July 25, 2015 He didn't need to take a next step Just hold on to the one he had taken last year But in classic Jays fashion Rinse and Repeat.....
