LTR Verified Member Posted July 9, 2015 Posted July 9, 2015 I can't believe we couldn't beat John-f***ing-Danks and the White Sox with the best offense against lefties in baseball. This team has serious issues.

This team has serious issues. Offense doesn't win games. Pitching and defense does. Offense is highly variable one day you get 8 runs another day 2. Good pitching is much more consistent. The key to winning is start with the pitching then add to the offense to improve it as much as possible. The key to mediocrity is to acquire expensive offensive players and then duct tape the pitching and defense and depth We have been medioacre for a very long time

SultanofPoon Verified Member Posted July 9, 2015 Posted July 9, 2015 Team has major issues....anyone expecting playoffs are in fantasy land. They beat themselves, lack pitching and defense. We lost 2 games against a s*** team by beating themselves...all too common. Way below .500 mist of the season except an unsustainable 11 game winning streak.
LTR Verified Member Posted July 9, 2015 Posted July 9, 2015 they did beat up on Danks but lost to the bullpen Not really blaming the offense (though I still expected more). Honestly though, losing to John Danks and the White Sox... that's the pits; what an ugly, dumb, brutal, embarrassing game.
BigBounceyBlueBalls Old-Timey Member Posted July 9, 2015 Posted July 9, 2015 No use trading the future for Rentals as this team stands right now! If AA and management upgraded the Rotation and pen like they said was a priority in the off season we are not where we are today! Epic fail ! Send Hutch, loup and Cecil down to figure it out and decide thier fate and future with this team. Take dickey and move him to the pen or release him and pay him out, he is only worth a romero in price tag to the club and just as bad! Bring up Norris, boyd and whoever maybe wolf and ride this out! Bench Reyes, play goins have Batz and Edwin Take turns at Dh play Smoak ! Bring pompey up and Davis or whoever and get rid of one of the 3 stooges ! Either extend Buehrle now, or look for a trade and get a arm for him at least! Rant over!!! A
GD Old-Timey Member Posted July 9, 2015 Posted July 9, 2015 On Osuna: 3.43 xFIP... that's 60th out of 133 qualified relievers in the majors. Sorry, but he's not as good as you think he is. 38th in SIERA with 2.75 73rd out of ALL pitchers with minimum 20 IP in TIPS with 3.26
BigCecil Old-Timey Member Posted July 9, 2015 Posted July 9, 2015 Colabello should absolutely never play the outfield. Was at a Journey concert at the Calgary Stampede last night so missed most of then game, but didn't need to see it to know this is a statement I support. His bat has been solid...more than we could expect but he can only play 1st or DH. He costs us too much on D in the OF.
