Tiger Blue Jay Verified Member Posted June 20, 2015 Posted June 20, 2015 Hi I have just returned back to England after 3 great weeks touring Canada, ending in Toronto. During the trip I really got hooked on Baseballl, especially watching The Blue Jays. I sort of got a handle on the idea of the game and some of the games numerous acronyms. I did once visit Yankee stadium and watched a ball game but just didn't feel any kind of urge to follow the Yankees. I did however feel a warmth for the Jays. I tried to convince my wife to alter our flight plans so I could watch a game but it wasn't to be. I visited Rogers stadium and went on the stadium tour, which was fun but made me feel more frustrated I couldn't watch a game. I have managed to watch a few games at home. The Jays won 11 games in a row whilst I was in Canada. Yet as soon as I get home they lose. I think they need to get me back there so they can go all the way this season. I bought some souvenir shirts in the club shop and will wear my number 11 Kevin Pillar shirt when I watch the team win the series. Good luck to the team for the rest of the season and thanks for letting me visit your wonderful country. Tiger Blue Jay. (Leicester Tigers fan). I may ask a few dumb questions about the game at some point. I hope you will be patient with me.

Until they ask a question the group deems stupid and are ridiculed into not posting since its more important that we adhere to a strict collective thinking than having discussions on a message board

If you're ignorant the advanced stats group will rightfully put you in your place. If you ask questions and try and get a better understanding of the game people are pretty helpful/respectful. JFAS who's probably the smartest person on this board is super respectful. Ask questions and don't post like you know everything and you might learn something.

GreekFatAss Verified Member Posted June 21, 2015 Posted June 21, 2015 Are you the fat guy who caught the ball in fair territory and got kicked out of the game? No sir, last game I was at I got thrown out because 4 douches with their shirts off were mouthing off all game and when I asked them to calm down because of the kids in the area they told security on me and I got thrown out of the game.
