How much does pillar have to hit to be a legit starting going forward, obviously has plus defense and solid speed, if he can be average with the bat I have no problem with him as a #9 in the order

I love Pillar. I don't care how much he hacks. He plays great defence, gets timely hits.

 

Pillar reminds me a lot of Reed Johnson (maybe a touch more speed).

He was at like, 0.2 during the start of the Nats series. In like 13-14 games he's picked up 1 WAR lol. A little unsustainable. He'll probably end up at 1 WAR by season's end.

His bat is SIGNIFICANTLY better than Goins' though. He's still below league average, but not so far below that it can't be eclipsed by the rest of his game.
