Hired Goon Verified Member Posted September 28, 2015 Posted September 28, 2015 He has skills and abilities but lacks the mental game. He peaked many years ago. Has missed playing time for: sprained ankle, hamstring injury, back injury, calf injury, 2nd hamstring injury, 2nd ankle injury, 3rd hamstring injury, rib injury, and now achilles injury. At this stage he is not capable of playing a full season. I'm not going to count his errors, everybody saw those. We all saw how he chose to laugh those off. Does anybody believe he worth the money he is getting paid? Is he a good deal financially for a team? Way overpaid for what he brings these days. Arrogant, maybe is a stretch. Lazy - yeah I don't think he gives it his all. Lazy mentally too. I believe he just got too comfortable, having a good old time getting paid millions to play 80% ball. Haircuts I can live with.

I agree with all of this except for the laziness part. I think his baseball skill has just taken a steep decline.
