ElNik2013 Old-Timey Member Posted May 26, 2015 Posted May 26, 2015 Even projections have his bat as above average now, and that's being modest IMO. Maybe not worthwhile for his defense but would make a nice pinch hitter. What do metrics say about his 1b defense? Probably too SSS, but I think I read somewhere that he graded better than Smoak.

ElNik2013 Old-Timey Member Posted May 26, 2015 Posted May 26, 2015 So tied for best run differential in AL now.
LTR Verified Member Posted May 26, 2015 Posted May 26, 2015 So tied for best run differential in AL now. That is simultaneously the most depressing and encouraging news, for me mostly depressing.
glory Old-Timey Member Posted May 26, 2015 Posted May 26, 2015 That is simultaneously the most depressing and encouraging news, for me mostly depressing. It's only encouraging if you figure they'll correct to their normal talent level soon. With this rotation, I'm not sure that's possible, though great start from Hutchster.
ElNik2013 Old-Timey Member Posted May 26, 2015 Posted May 26, 2015 That is simultaneously the most depressing and encouraging news, for me mostly depressing. I think their record is depressing. Their run differential is encouraging. Travis's return next week will be encouraging. Bautista's health is depressing. Starting rotations' last few outings are encouraging. We'll see what happens.
ElNik2013 Old-Timey Member Posted May 26, 2015 Posted May 26, 2015 Weren't the Red Sox supposed to be the greatestest and deepestest team in history or something? Watch them go on a huge run now.
Atothe Old-Timey Member Posted May 26, 2015 Posted May 26, 2015 Something real Wilner would say Wilmer actually said this on jays talk. He said verbatim "four groundball outs away from a perfect game"
ElNik2013 Old-Timey Member Posted May 26, 2015 Posted May 26, 2015 If you don't count the Royals at +52 Haha, if you divide 52/2 as I think they're +26. *tied for 2nd-best run differential.
LTR Verified Member Posted May 26, 2015 Posted May 26, 2015 There you go What's most depressing is the team they are tied with at +26 (the Astros) are 12 games above .500 and in 1st while the Jays are 5 games below .500 and in last.
CJ-Freeway Old-Timey Member Posted May 26, 2015 Posted May 26, 2015 Can't get past the First Choice Haircutters hair cut, sorry. Lol
CJ-Freeway Old-Timey Member Posted May 26, 2015 Posted May 26, 2015 Even though our record sucks, we're still only 3.5 back for the division lead!! #Cumtogether
rookiefuzz Verified Member Posted May 26, 2015 Posted May 26, 2015 Division for once is like Baltimores pitching...a steaming pile of crap. But with pitching coming around and Travis and a healthy JB on the way, who knows. For now we'll just hang out at the bottom of that pile of crap.
goeb Verified Member Posted May 26, 2015 Posted May 26, 2015 Something real Wilner would say LOL...Can't believe he posted this. Great performance by hutch, but the subject of "Perfect Game" should not even be mentioned tonight. I hate hyperbole.

Captain Adama Old-Timey Member Posted May 26, 2015 Posted May 26, 2015 lol it's not Wilner. Might as well should be. Fake Wilner just says the s*** real Wilner was about to saym but Fake Wilner was quicker to actually submit the tweet.
glory Old-Timey Member Posted May 26, 2015 Posted May 26, 2015 3.5 games back. Time to go on a run, folks.
BTS Community Moderator Posted May 26, 2015 Posted May 26, 2015 3.5 games back. Time to go on a run, folks. It's May. All that matters is W-L record right now. Win 88 games, they'll probably make the WC game. Win less than 88, probably not.
LTR Verified Member Posted May 26, 2015 Posted May 26, 2015 3.5 games back. Time to go on a run, folks. We should be able to beat up on the White Sox / Twins

TwistedLogic Old-Timey Member Posted May 26, 2015 Posted May 26, 2015 It's disgusting that the Jays are only 3.5 games back. The playoffs will be easy to make.

Deadpool Old-Timey Member Posted May 26, 2015 Posted May 26, 2015 Something real Wilner would say Fake Wilner is Best Wilner.
LTR Verified Member Posted May 26, 2015 Posted May 26, 2015 So we are 4-4 since FYSMC, with some depressing 1-run losses along they... guess it wasn't the catalyst we were all hoping for... but perhaps a corner is being turned nonetheless.
