Maahfaace Verified Member Posted May 17, 2015 Posted May 17, 2015 Sorry guys. This one is on me. We both smelled it wrong
CJ-Freeway Old-Timey Member Posted May 17, 2015 Posted May 17, 2015 Jesus, what a f***ing horrible road trip that was. Fire Gibbons asap please.
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted May 17, 2015 Posted May 17, 2015 Gibbons and Pete Walker, along with Jeff Francis, better not be on that plane back to Toronto.. we need changes now! If the Marlins can do it with a similar record, so can we. The only good news is that we're still within distance as the Yankees are showing signs of regression (they're in danger of losing 2/3 to the Royals and have Washington next), the Rays are a question mark, O's suck and Boston still is uncertain. But still, it's time for a change after that terrible trip.
jays4life19 Old-Timey Member Posted May 17, 2015 Author Posted May 17, 2015 Goodbye Jays4life19. 6 month ban at the min.
43211234 Verified Member Posted May 17, 2015 Posted May 17, 2015 Lol at the people who want to fire Gibby.
Atothe Old-Timey Member Posted May 17, 2015 Posted May 17, 2015 I don't feel as bad about these losses as others. Bullpen meltdowns are gonna happen but three of the four pitchers did well enough to win. Thats good. I'll give Dickey until the middle of June to get it going or you seriously dfa him or send him to the minors
BigBounceyBlueBalls Old-Timey Member Posted May 17, 2015 Posted May 17, 2015 So we have a guy who can't play but can bat, one who can bat but shouldn't be playing daily, one who can't play or bat in close games now! Oh and hand full of scrubs filling in! Just great, Go Jays! Lol This is why God made Rum! lol
xposbrad Verified Member Posted May 17, 2015 Posted May 17, 2015 Jesus, what a f***ing horrible road trip that was. Fire Gibbons asap please. Firing Gibbons will not change much. AA has to be the first on the totem pole. The astros have rebuilt with a younger, higher upside, cheaper core than the blue Jays did and should make the playoffs quicker. That's on the GM's head if he can't retool and put out a decent lineup with good hitting AND good pitching.
Jonzo Verified Member Posted May 17, 2015 Posted May 17, 2015 Can't wait to hear Wilner somehow put a positive spin on the road trip!
BigBounceyBlueBalls Old-Timey Member Posted May 17, 2015 Posted May 17, 2015 Nice ! Yeah Canada... Not a Dominican in the Room! Hmmmm Hurry AA more Canadians please! Lol
BigBounceyBlueBalls Old-Timey Member Posted May 17, 2015 Posted May 17, 2015 Ps Sorry Ang kidding! Lol
bendera3 Verified Member Posted May 17, 2015 Posted May 17, 2015 I don't feel like Gibby is the problem. Our starters didn't do half bad but how do you manage a lineup of guys that should be on the DL but aren't and AAAA fodder? That's on management.
fatcowxlive Old-Timey Member Posted May 17, 2015 Posted May 17, 2015 I don't want to hear anyone blame Gibby for the start of the season. All our pitchers are underperforming by A LOT
BigBounceyBlueBalls Old-Timey Member Posted May 17, 2015 Posted May 17, 2015 Agreed but now that Walker guy I can't defend ! Kick him to the curb! Please
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted May 17, 2015 Posted May 17, 2015 I don't want to hear anyone blame Gibby for the start of the season. All our pitchers are underperforming by A LOT It's his choice how he uses the pitchers

He should have never been hired in the first place

TheHurl Site Manager Posted May 17, 2015 Posted May 17, 2015 Kind of nice to go away for a week and come back here to see the Jays imploding.
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted May 17, 2015 Posted May 17, 2015 And you know what's shocking? These Astros could move even higher in the standings with their upcoming sked vs. Oakland. Only the Rangers have beaten them this season..
ElNik2013 Old-Timey Member Posted May 17, 2015 Posted May 17, 2015 Silverlining: Team still hasn't been shut out...
fatcowxlive Old-Timey Member Posted May 17, 2015 Posted May 17, 2015 It's his choice how he uses the pitchers I'm mostly talking about starters. I also blame AA for his brilliant thinking that he can go in the season with Norris and Sanchez as possibilities for the rotation, especially after Stroman was injured. Then Pete Walker needs to go.. he's the microcosm of our troubles. I really don't think Pete Walker is to blame here either. The pitchers just suck. We needed a top of the rotation pitcher, that's why I wanted Shields so badly. With the way the offence is mashing, we might not really need that, but we need a bunch of solid starters, not starters that walk the park and that consistently underperform

It takes 2 to tango baby.

But I agree, our pitching sucks so it won't really change anything. Fire AA I guess?

CJ-Freeway Old-Timey Member Posted May 17, 2015 Posted May 17, 2015 How much and for how many years? Dunno, gotta ask the fangraphs geeks about this one. But I know that if the Padres were able to do it, we could've done it too.
