Atothe Old-Timey Member Posted May 9, 2015 Posted May 9, 2015 Sooo... does Bautista need Tommy John? What kind of shoulder injury that occurs on a throw keeps a guy from throwing this long but still allows him to hit? It is really getting odd how little we are hearing and how long it is taking. Serious shoulder injuries would make it hard to hit. A ucl at least doesn't change a swing. See I wouldn't think its crazy because this is the jays organization but I doubt it. I wouldn't doubt if someone said he'll need surgery after the season

Three years later I still can't throw without pain.

Governator Community Moderator Posted May 9, 2015 Posted May 9, 2015 Let's presume Bautista is destined for surgery and can only be used as a DH this season. I would be tempted to trade EE because its creating a ripple effect in the line up and on the field. I don't think you could trade Bautista with an injury.
ElNik2013 Old-Timey Member Posted May 9, 2015 Posted May 9, 2015 Red Sox's depth is so amazin' they can overcome Ortiz and Ramirez's absences without much of a problem and this is not because of their big payroll, they have guys like Travis Shaw ready to step in for Ortiz. They have the best lineup in baseball when healthy and are still near the top without a couple of their mashers. I'd be scared for today's game if I were Hutchison and the Blue Jays, especially with the way Hutchison's been struggling.

Absolutely none.
