So we're going to be 2 games under 500 this early in the season and people want everyone fired. What a joke some of you are.

 

Agreed. There are managers on other teams (Farrell, Ventura, Roenicke, McClendon) who are more deserving of being fired. However, our pitching coach should be fired.. Pete Walker isn't doing a good job with our league-worst pitching staff.

I'd rather fire the F/O than allow them to trade more pieces for pitching. AA has used up enough assets to acquire pitching when he traded for Buehrle, JJ and Dickey. He just happened to misfire.

 

And if this organization wasn't planning on extending their GM long-term, why not just make the move in the off season?

 

Seems like bad planning.

Tough to bet against any team that has Eric Stults leading the team in innings pitched...I'll take the Braves in this one.

And that Braves pitching is nearly as bad as the Jays.. 13th in the NL, and has imploded since the Jays series.

Deserved loss, team was only ahead in game 'cause of bad D by Cleveland. Hutchison is simply not getting it done.

Well, on the plus side, the Rays lost.. as for Cleveland.. this team is really confusing. They've got the talent.. buy why are they in last place?

The pitching has been absolutely f*ckin' embarrassing. Even if the pitching was bad we'd still be over .500. I've never seen pitching this bad on this team...I think ever.

It really is funny that you can argue Sanchez and Norris have been the best two pitchers in the rotation...and one got demoted.

 

Something needs to happen you can't win like this...suck it up make a deal for Hamels/Papelbon or move Joey Bats/Dickey/Buehrle

I was going to say this but I didn't want to be overly negative. His throwing has been good. He is a stabilizing force and his bat is coming on. But all we heard was the WAR we would get - the pitch framing value and the young pitcher whisperer.

 

So far hard to see evidence of that.

 

Yeah. Martin surely isn't improving the pitching staff with all these intangibles we were hyped about - dat litreship, game calling. His framing and blocking has been very disappointing as well.
