TheHurl Site Manager Posted May 3, 2015 Posted May 3, 2015 He would go to Buffalo if anywhere If you are going to send him to Buffalo you may as well keep him here (as much as people don't like to admit it there is a big focus on winning in AAA). Let him pitch where he can work on his secondary stuff, and give him confidence to throw it. High A makes sense so he's in warm weather, with a trip to New Hampshire when he tears up the FSL. September return to Toronto.
JFD Old-Timey Member Posted May 3, 2015 Posted May 3, 2015 oh wow glad I stopped watching this one. another disaster..
ElNik2013 Old-Timey Member Posted May 3, 2015 Posted May 3, 2015 So does Walker get fired first..then Gibbons? I can't see AA fired...who's going to do it? Beeston is in his last year..he aint firing nobody.. That Ed (?) Rogers fellow seems to be involved in making these decisions so he'd be the one doing the firing. We'll see what he gives up for Duquette.
frizzer1 Verified Member Posted May 3, 2015 Posted May 3, 2015 I think this mess was predictable...but not with Hutchison.....something is wrong with him....this is not just "struggling"....I'm worried about him..
Praxis Verified Member Posted May 3, 2015 Posted May 3, 2015 I blame Josh Johnson and Sandy Alderson. Bastards.
xposbrad Verified Member Posted May 3, 2015 Posted May 3, 2015 Martin = catching WAR , he's really helped with the pitching, like everyone said in the offseason
BigCecil Old-Timey Member Posted May 3, 2015 Posted May 3, 2015 aa has to be on phone looking for pitchers lol. We are LONG past that time. Sellers market.
frizzer1 Verified Member Posted May 3, 2015 Posted May 3, 2015 Martin = catching WAR , he's really helped with the pitching, like everyone said in the offseason it's hard to help when faced with incompetence and child pitchers..
xposbrad Verified Member Posted May 3, 2015 Posted May 3, 2015 it's hard to help when faced with incompetence and child pitchers.. The point is, what's really the effectiveness in spending all that money at catcher if we have 0 quality starters for him to work with
Praxis Verified Member Posted May 3, 2015 Posted May 3, 2015 C'mon Devon. Hit another HR! Your grand slam was not enough you see....
ElNik2013 Old-Timey Member Posted May 3, 2015 Posted May 3, 2015 I think this mess was predictable...but not with Hutchison.....something is wrong with him....this is not just "struggling"....I'm worried about him.. Maybe he threw too many innings last year? Who knows, but I trust JFaS and his projections system so I think the SP will stabilize. The bullpen could be improved by calling up guys like Delabar, Hynes, Schultz, Guilmet and West, oh wait...
TheHurl Site Manager Posted May 3, 2015 Posted May 3, 2015 It's so hard to legitimately be a number 9 hitter with Goins in your lineup...but Ezequiel
BigCecil Old-Timey Member Posted May 3, 2015 Posted May 3, 2015 Martin = catching WAR , he's really helped with the pitching, like everyone said in the offseason[/quote I was going to say this but I didn't want to be overly negative. His throwing has been good. He is a stabilizing force and his bat is coming on. But all we heard was the WAR we would get - the pitch framing value and the young pitcher whisperer. So far hard to see evidence of that.

Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted May 3, 2015 Posted May 3, 2015 I feel like I'm watching Betances out there when he pitches. Betances is a failed prospect. Miguel castro is a real prospect. Castro will be fine closing games

EdwinsParrot Old-Timey Member Posted May 3, 2015 Posted May 3, 2015 Been following most of the game on my phone...my god this pitching
TheHurl Site Manager Posted May 3, 2015 Posted May 3, 2015 Zaun throwing some SSS at the Jays fans adding to the stupidity.
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted May 3, 2015 Posted May 3, 2015 Man, we need pitching help! And yet, we're not a horrid team due to the offense.. imagine the messes in Seattle, these Indians, White Sox, most of the AL West not named Houston, and yes, even the Red Sox(who will likely join the Jays below .500 tonight when the Yankees clobber them.)
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted May 3, 2015 Posted May 3, 2015 The only good news is that Tampa is losing.. but this is frustrating to watch our great offense go to waste due to terrible pitching!
TheHurl Site Manager Posted May 3, 2015 Posted May 3, 2015 I've been saying this for a while now...I think the Jays trade Hutch for 1 or 2 year starter. The issue right now might be that they have to throw something else in to get that done.
JFD Old-Timey Member Posted May 3, 2015 Posted May 3, 2015 time to trade Bautista for young pitching.
guylaroche5 Verified Member Posted May 3, 2015 Posted May 3, 2015 this is a game you gotta win 99 times out of 100, absolutely unacceptable. this team's pitching is unwatchable atm
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted May 3, 2015 Posted May 3, 2015 Looks like Copeland AND Francis will be back in Buffalo after this mess.
TheHurl Site Manager Posted May 3, 2015 Posted May 3, 2015 The only good news is that Tampa is losing.. but this is frustrating to watch our great offense go to waste due to terrible pitching! The great offense that took place in a 6 out inning.
