BTS Community Moderator Posted May 2, 2015 Posted May 2, 2015 Seriously though, I'll give this FO some credit if they pull him from the rotation after beating Kluber. I suspect what will happen is that walking 7/9 will soon lead to a blowout loss, as it tends to do, and only after that happens will he lose is spot.
BTS Community Moderator Posted May 2, 2015 Posted May 2, 2015 You hate it when I'm right I would find it unpleasant. Has it ever happened?
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted May 2, 2015 Posted May 2, 2015 Royals when winning after 6th inning: 11-1
tercet Verified Member Posted May 2, 2015 Posted May 2, 2015 Wilner is spinning Sanchez start as good =[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[
o2cui2i Community Moderator Posted May 2, 2015 Posted May 2, 2015 But the signs were there in the minors, nothing has changed. He should be a 1 inning guy and developed that way ootherwise it's a colossal waste. you dont aim at a players floor in the minors? that would be a colossal waste lol Jays have lots of 1 inning guys. What they need are starters. You can always go back to being a 1 inning guy, but a 1 inning guy is hard to turn into a starter.
Jimcanuck Old-Timey Member Posted May 2, 2015 Posted May 2, 2015 I would find it unpleasant. Has it ever happened? Not gonna answer that, don't want to ruin your saturday
CJ-Freeway Old-Timey Member Posted May 2, 2015 Posted May 2, 2015 We beat Kluber, incredible. Vegas bookies probably made a fortune off this game alone lol
Jimcanuck Old-Timey Member Posted May 3, 2015 Posted May 3, 2015 Thoroughly enjoyed watching Sanchez today. So much better than the recent MB and Hutch shitshows xFIP Hutch 4.69 MB 4.65 Dick 4.97 Norris 5.36 SANCHIZE 4.67
o2cui2i Community Moderator Posted May 3, 2015 Posted May 3, 2015 I should have said developed that way from this point forward, or even better at the beginning of the season. that would still be aiming low. IMO
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted May 3, 2015 Posted May 3, 2015 Spankys pretty heated right about now No, I'm not, meat?

o2cui2i Community Moderator Posted May 3, 2015 Posted May 3, 2015 It is, but it's realistic and a supposed contending team isn't in a position to experiment. Experimentation has been our downfall this season, 10 million more spent would have done wonders for our pitching. not finding a team willing to take Navarro off our hands probably meant the money wasn't there.
King Old-Timey Member Posted May 3, 2015 Posted May 3, 2015 Did you watch the game, in it's entirety? "Watching the game pollutes your perspective on what's actually happening." - NorthOf49 2014
Jimcanuck Old-Timey Member Posted May 3, 2015 Posted May 3, 2015 What difference would that make? WTF A boxscore doesn't tell you if the guy that went 0-5 had 4 hard hit liners right at people
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted May 3, 2015 Posted May 3, 2015 Most random stat: Blue Jays are the only team in MLB to not have been IBB once all year.
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted May 3, 2015 Posted May 3, 2015 What difference would that make? He pitched like a f***ing champ through 5 and was #umpshowed out of a K in the 5th? He sat for nearly 30 minutes to pitch the 6th and lost the zone after getting the first 2 out, he gassed himself out, but it was far from terrible, he walked 7 but... He pitched well, I like what I SAW! The 6th, not so much.
o2cui2i Community Moderator Posted May 3, 2015 Posted May 3, 2015 "Watching the game pollutes your perspective on what's actually happening." - NorthOf49 2014 going through stats pages and not watching the game takes all the fun out of baseball. Stats are great, but at some point simply watching baseball is what it should be about.

Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted May 3, 2015 Posted May 3, 2015 What difference would that make? Oh man......
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted May 3, 2015 Posted May 3, 2015 Stick to stat scouting exclusively boys.
o2cui2i Community Moderator Posted May 3, 2015 Posted May 3, 2015 it really does show that the GDT is getting better when the fantasy league guys start crawling back from the off topic threads. lol
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted May 3, 2015 Posted May 3, 2015 No I'm not that hardcore, but you have to be realistic. Baseball isn't a game where you can just patchwork together a successful player. WTF...does that even mean?
o2cui2i Community Moderator Posted May 3, 2015 Posted May 3, 2015 No I'm not that hardcore, but you have to be realistic. Baseball isn't a game where you can just patchwork together a successful player. my problem with the whole Sanchez issue is that the team REALLY should have either left him in AAA to work on adding control of another pitch and confidence or use him in the pen. those were the two smart options. they went another direction which doesn't make a lot of sense.
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted May 3, 2015 Posted May 3, 2015 King what was Sanchez's numbers through 5?

Jimcanuck Old-Timey Member Posted May 3, 2015 Posted May 3, 2015 That doesn't matter. if you didnt watch the game then your comments are meaningless stats are good when the sample size is large, meaningless for a 1 game sample
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted May 3, 2015 Posted May 3, 2015 So bautista says its physically impossible for him to throw a baseball right now. Sounds like he is going to DH for another month. Really need to find another OF until then.

We all know this o2, what we have is what we have. Do you want Hendriks/Redmond/Wolf/Santana, etc, etc, pitching now?
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted May 3, 2015 Posted May 3, 2015 Starting pitchers can't carve out a decent career relying on one skill. And that is? He looked good today man, if you actually watched it?
King Old-Timey Member Posted May 3, 2015 Posted May 3, 2015 King what was Sanchez's numbers through 5?
