Mikeleelop Verified Member Posted April 29, 2015 Posted April 29, 2015 Reyes needs to improve his OBP from last season. If Travis maintains a .350 obp, just keep him there. Travis is a rookie, there's going to be some regression. But it's sure good to have him

jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted April 29, 2015 Posted April 29, 2015 Wow, great pitching staff for the Red Sox.. to hit a ton off of! Worst pitching staff in the majors (30th overall). That Red Sox team is heading for a big crash in the standings soon.. possibly after the Yankees clobber them this weekend with their top pitching staff and servicable offense. At this rate, expect Farrell, Nieves and others to be fired by the end of May or June, regardless how much the Red Sox hit. You can't win with such an awful staff. And yes, I know the Jays pitching staff is bad too, but it can improve.. Boston is MUCH worse.
CJ-Freeway Old-Timey Member Posted April 29, 2015 Posted April 29, 2015 Good win. Let's hope good Dickey shows up tomorrow.
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted April 29, 2015 Posted April 29, 2015 Good win. Let's hope good Dickey shows up tomorrow. Yes. And Boston is praying Porcello doesn't give up a bunch of HRs (he has had serious issues with the long ball this year. And his last two outings have been terrible.)
RealAccountant Old-Timey Member Posted April 29, 2015 Posted April 29, 2015 This offense isn't going to have any trouble scoring runs but so far, I cant say that I have too much confidence in both the starting core or the relief core As good as the offense looks, pitching looks just as worse.

ScientificReason Verified Member Posted April 29, 2015 Posted April 29, 2015 Offense seems to be all or nothing so far this year, think in there losses they have averaged less then 2 runs a game, and over 8 in wins, have to look it up though. Offense is not the issue though, pitching is really bad, even worse then I expected so far. Not going far unless changes are made.
