He was unable to make it through five innings in two starts before tossing eight frames of two-run ball in his last outing on Thursday. Right-handed hitters have blasted him in the early going, compiling a .407/.500/.704 slash line in his four starts. Red Sox: Outside of an implosion at Yankee Stadium on April 12, Buchholz has been relatively consistent for the Red Sox, posting three quality starts in his four outings this season. The righty owns a career 3.20 ERA against the Blue Jays, and he held them to two runs over 6 1/3 innings when he last faced them in September. HERPDERP Old-Timey Member Posted April 28, 2015 Posted April 28, 2015 We not only need to destroy Buchols early and often, but we need Hutchison to go 8 innings. Very likely Castro and Osuna will be unavailable for the rest of the series. So we'll be seeing the likes of Hendriks/Estrada for tonight's game.

So dumn, yet off the wall and entertaining.

Atothe Old-Timey Member Posted April 28, 2015 Posted April 28, 2015 Castro is being used in low leverage situation from now on
KingKat Old-Timey Member Posted April 28, 2015 Posted April 28, 2015 Castro is being used in low leverage situation from now on Cool. He should be one to two innings at a time twice a week guy not this rubber arm constant high leverage business. Half baked plan was half baked.

burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted April 28, 2015 Posted April 28, 2015 So Loup/Osuna in the 8th and Cecil in the 9th. At least thats much better than whats been happening. Like to see Hendricks get more high leverage situation but other than that I'm okay with it.

baubau Verified Member Posted April 28, 2015 Posted April 28, 2015 Why is Pillar in for Pompey? Doesn't make sense to have Pompey out. Understand wanting to get Valencia in.

He was banged up after that amazing catch last night. With the crappy monster in LF I assume it's just a day off for Pompey and we get a RH bat in the lineup.

Gibby has done some odd stuff this season and was worried he thinks Pillar > Pompey.

Atothe Old-Timey Member Posted April 28, 2015 Posted April 28, 2015 Pompey played the green monster well last night holding guys to singles. I know hes in a slump but I would prefer to have the defense out there. He's hurt bro, needs time off to avoid major injuries
Sorrow Verified Member Posted April 28, 2015 Posted April 28, 2015 He's hurt bro, needs time off to avoid major injuries I think he's been playing sore for a week or so, which is why Pillar has been in CF.
