5minutesforframing Verified Member Posted April 26, 2015 Posted April 26, 2015 Jays managerial hierarchy... Gibbons - Farrel - Gibbons Equivalent to... s*** - piss - back to s*** That's not a hierarchy that's the managerial history.
5minutesforframing Verified Member Posted April 26, 2015 Posted April 26, 2015 Hurl has stated several times that he just loves the way the Rays run their organization. If the Jays ran their organization the way the Rays do (prospect development, team friendly extensions to youthful players, trade when they become expensive to replenish the farm) I'm sure he would love the way the Jays run it. The Rays have accomplished so much with so little, and you have to admire that as a baseball fan. In the big picture they've won nothing and they can't get fans to watch them. I wouldn't say they've accomplished "so much".
o2cui2i Community Moderator Posted April 26, 2015 Posted April 26, 2015 Ban this guy too ok dude... last time. call for one more person to be banned and I promise I will ban someone I don't care if you are "trolling." it's redundant and annoying. fair warning

Trop is a s*** hole in a place that's ridiculous to get to.
TheHurl Site Manager Posted April 26, 2015 Posted April 26, 2015 Atothe has joked (whether he is joking or not doesn't really matter) about me being banned all the time. I take it and honestly don't see a problem with it. I see it is a more of his schtick with me. Even if he's serious I'm okay with him saying it.

We can't tell some people off for calling for bans and let others get away with it. That just creates more problems, even if you are ok with it, it is just the same as people saying fire AA 100 times.
o2cui2i Community Moderator Posted April 26, 2015 Posted April 26, 2015 f***ing depressing weekend of games. ftfy
havok24 Old-Timey Member Posted April 26, 2015 Posted April 26, 2015 Tied with the Angels when they lose to the Rangers tonight. Damn
o2cui2i Community Moderator Posted April 26, 2015 Posted April 26, 2015 Our Baseball team sucks but atleast we have the Raptors! Oh wait... it's ok we have the Toronto Rock? lol

TheHurl Site Manager Posted April 26, 2015 Posted April 26, 2015 it's ok we have the Toronto Rock? lol I am a Rock Fan. I do like 3 local teams. Rock, Raptors and Rush.

I may go back to a Jays fan when AA is gone. Firing AA doesn't fix everything that is wrong. Would they be willing to go out and get a baseball guy to take over, who is willing and has the understanding that the team has to be changed from the bottom up? Just changing GM wouldn't be enough. they need to change how their minor leagues are run. they need to change how they evaluate talent and they would have to start over from scratch. it would be ugly before it would be beautiful.
CJ-Freeway Old-Timey Member Posted April 26, 2015 Posted April 26, 2015 Hire Omar Minaya, I'm sure he would be twice as good as AA. Took a s***** Expos team in 2002 and turned it into a wild card contender. Took a s***** Mets team in 2006 and took them to game 7 of the NLCS.
RealAccountant Old-Timey Member Posted April 26, 2015 Posted April 26, 2015 I was born a jays fan and I will die a jays fan. No thanks to jumping ships.

I was just saying that in response to the dude that claimed the Rays have won so much.

To my knowledge they Rays have none and therefore you can't claim that they accomplished much at all, maybe in prospect development sure, but overall as a franchise you're supposed to win titles and all they've done is go the the WS once and lose it.

fatcowxlive Old-Timey Member Posted April 26, 2015 Author Posted April 26, 2015 your dumn I give the Rays credit for doing what they can with what little they had and their prospect development, but until they actually win or make multiple WS appearances they can't be looked at as a success story yet. With no chance of a new stadium, and both Maddon and Friedman walking who knows what's going to happen with the Rays
