o2cui2i Community Moderator Posted April 27, 2015 Posted April 27, 2015 Silly it took so long. sucks for people who have already left for the game.
o2cui2i Community Moderator Posted April 27, 2015 Posted April 27, 2015 Curious who the group of guys in the suits are that keep showing up at each looting spot Feds are investigating.... which means Eric Holder wants heads to put on a stick.
Inklink Old-Timey Member Posted April 27, 2015 Posted April 27, 2015 Fking hooligans. Why would you loot and set fire to businesses in protest of violence?? Those throwing crap at bystanders, businesses, rescue workers and cops ...scum of the earth. It should be open season on those idiots (those throwing stuff(

Inklink Old-Timey Member Posted April 27, 2015 Posted April 27, 2015 Two different things. Using it as an excuse Yep, but they'll piggy back on it. Kind of like the Vancouver riot.
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted April 28, 2015 Posted April 28, 2015 MLB is seeking options regarding the remainder of the series, and it may be moved to Washington (Nats Park is vacant as the Nationals are in Atlanta right now.)

Dr Negative Verified Member Posted April 28, 2015 Posted April 28, 2015 Nice to see the good people of Baltimore finally sticking it to all those small businesses and charitable community centres hurting the community.

o2cui2i Community Moderator Posted April 28, 2015 Posted April 28, 2015 I've never understood the concept of throwing rocks at people with guns.
BTS Community Moderator Posted April 28, 2015 Posted April 28, 2015 The looting is so sad. I completely understand the motivations behind the protests, and they are valid, but the looting is embarrassing and makes it too easy for people to dismiss everyone protesting as a bunch of criminals.

Baltimore inner city has been a rough place for decades.
o2cui2i Community Moderator Posted April 28, 2015 Posted April 28, 2015 it shows some moxie to show up with a camera and microphone.
o2cui2i Community Moderator Posted April 28, 2015 Posted April 28, 2015 What's going on in Baltimore is really ugly and it will have repercussions for all of the USA. Society only works if the masses agree to follow rule of law and law is respected. once the masses lose respect for law and decide not to obey society collapse. the police backing off and letting them do as they want leads other people think they can do the same. It's full on Mad Max and soon the Police with have to go full on Judge Dredd. God help us all.

Makes us look bad and kind of justifies the hate O's fans have for us.
Jayday Verified Member Posted April 28, 2015 Posted April 28, 2015 I feel sorry for the people who live there, for the the cops who aren't dirty and for the pliable young teens who's lives will be ruined. sad situation... and it doesn't look like the police are getting in front of it. Those cops u say aren't dirty are just as guilty for not demanding the dirty cops be charged with murder, or go on strike. One of the reason there's so many shooting of unarmed citizens is because they keep getting away with it. Over 90% never even get indicted, and when they do, they are found to have acted according to procedure. Hope the newly appointed attorney general brings the hammer down hard on the police chiefs, mayors and police union leaders.

flafson Verified Member Posted April 28, 2015 Posted April 28, 2015 Horrible what's going on there... Too many bad cops but it's not easy being a cop which is why they train them to shoot to kill in many situations.

You just see it more when they are public figures. There are s***** accounts and s***** car dealers as well... but that doesn't mean that all accounts, all car dealers or all cops are bad.
o2cui2i Community Moderator Posted April 28, 2015 Posted April 28, 2015 curfew in Baltimore... no games for a while.
Spanky__99 Old-Timey Member Posted April 28, 2015 Posted April 28, 2015 I just watched about 20 minutes of this mayhem, can't watch it anymore, why do this to your own people/community, brings a tear man, I feel for the innocents, National Guard coming in, state of emergency announced, just terrible. Sad, sad, day man.

Spanky__99 Old-Timey Member Posted April 28, 2015 Posted April 28, 2015 I'm really out of the loop today... What in the world happened? Teen was arrested, later killed, voice box crushed, chest cavity crushed, protest leads to Riots, mayhem, etc...just all out nuts!
intentional wok Old-Timey Member Posted April 28, 2015 Posted April 28, 2015 Reading about it now. If this were a movie, people would criticize it for being over-the-top. Is this even real life?

JaysAllMighty Old-Timey Member Posted April 28, 2015 Posted April 28, 2015 Few points: -Gray had a very long criminal record, known as a drug dealer. No saint. On going investigation on what happened and gathering evidence like they do in every case like this. It takes time. Rioting and looting every time there's a black person killed by the police isn't the answer. The few criminals are just using those circumstances to act like savages and inciting others. -Police are not trained to shoot to kill, they are trained to stop the threat and if shooting a criminal is necessary they are trained to shoot at the largest body mass so not to miss the target, shoot until the deadly threat has stopped. -There is a legal system that exist for everyone, a legal peaceful protest is acceptable as long as they obey the laws. Throwing rocks and bricks at officers that had nothing to do with Gray's death is attempting murder. Those violent criminals were lucky not to get shot. The National Guards may not be as nice if they face the same situation. Lets hope cooler heads prevail and all is under control soon.
flafson Verified Member Posted April 28, 2015 Posted April 28, 2015 I don't know if you guys watched the live coverage at the news last night (11pm-12pm) but it's pretty clear those acts have little if not nothing to do with Gray's death. They were rioting for the sake of rioting.
