Also Russell's framing has been trash... well he's been dead even... 0 extra strikes in 901 chances. I'm sure he'll come around but he hasn't looked good in that area so far.

Travis is not just a player who is on a hot streak. , he is doing everything correctly. he is defending well and hitting well while showing that he has a solid grasp on why it is going well.

 

Castro knows he can pitch, but has no idea what he needs to do to becomes the star most of us think he can be.

Castro isn't ready for a big time bullpen role, but I think he could be really good in mid relief type roles. If that's the case though might as well let him start in the minors.

No, it's not the same thing at all. Of course Travis will slump, but he is a college draftee who played a full season at each A+ and AA whereas Castro has only pitched 31.1 innings above short-season ball.

My answer was yes that would be a satisfying season for me. I'll enjoy the playoffs whether the Rays are there or not.
