Atothe Old-Timey Member Posted April 26, 2015 Posted April 26, 2015 yet as soon as Osuna allows a run, no doubt people will be calling for him to be demoted too. Anyone who is bitching about Castro needs to be taken out back Old Yeller style. The offense is at fault in this one. You allow 4 runs you should win. Once again we make TB pitchers look like f***ing Cy Youngers. What? Have you seen Castro pitch the last few times, hard hit balls and has started to walk guys. Losing faith in his offspeed pitches. He's showing that he isn't ready (blessing in disgust)
bronson44 Verified Member Posted April 26, 2015 Posted April 26, 2015 Can we not talking about batting averages in evaluating players? I would think that people would be a little more intelligent on a "baseball forum". You might want to have your sarcasm detector looked at
Atothe Old-Timey Member Posted April 26, 2015 Posted April 26, 2015 Spend money on bullpen guys and forgetting these bullpens guys were once rookies or failed starters. Thread Logic smh
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted April 26, 2015 Posted April 26, 2015 massive over reaction. Theres no one else I want in with the game on the line. I'm sorry to break this to you, but you may be slightly retarded. Mentally retarded.

Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted April 26, 2015 Posted April 26, 2015 Call up Delabar and Guilmet. Francis and Castro to the minors pleaseeeee
Atothe Old-Timey Member Posted April 26, 2015 Posted April 26, 2015 Call up Delabar and Guilmet. Francis and Castro to the minors pleaseeeee Loup down too
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted April 26, 2015 Posted April 26, 2015 They haven't called a changeup in weeks it seems like...Wasn't that his best pitch? It's probably not working for him right now, which is why he should be in the minors to work on his pitches and control.
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted April 26, 2015 Posted April 26, 2015 Call up Delabar and Guilmet. Francis and Castro to the minors pleaseeeee Francis was really good yesterday
HERPDERP Old-Timey Member Posted April 26, 2015 Posted April 26, 2015 If you watch Castro he is just not as good as he was in ST. In ST he was pinpoint with his control and his off speed stuff was tailing down.
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted April 26, 2015 Posted April 26, 2015 Francis was really good yesterday Francis is not a loogy. He's rotation depth
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted April 26, 2015 Posted April 26, 2015 Call up Delabar and Guilmet. Francis and Castro to the minors pleaseeeee They will try Castro more in mid relief before he goes down. His problem isnt giving up runs, it's coming in and not holding the runners he has inherited. Might not have the makeup for that
ElNik2013 Old-Timey Member Posted April 26, 2015 Posted April 26, 2015 I can't believe how many people think Cecil sucks because things haven't gone his way though 5 innings (in which his still has a not-terrible 3.76 xFIP). Guy has been absolute nails for 110+ innings over the last two years. For me, it was more about over-managing after a bloop hit that would've been caught had the OF not been playing deep. Osuna vs DeJeesus doesn't scare me with a guy on 1st. Then to top it off, he takes out Cecil after a gb single. What should be most worrying to Jays fans is that the Gibbons hasn't noticed that Castro's been terrible.

His fastball has been running over the middle of the plate or completely off the plate which = lots of trouble. He's also not commanding his slider and changeup. The sooner they admit defeat on this one, the better. In fact, I'd have more respect for them if they admitted a mistake and sent him down ASAP and I'm sure I'm not the lone ranger on this one.

CJ-Freeway Old-Timey Member Posted April 26, 2015 Posted April 26, 2015 Who has been bad besides Castro? Cecil, Loup, and Hendricks Pretty much everyone in the pen except for Osuna
MatBarnes Verified Member Posted April 26, 2015 Posted April 26, 2015 I still don't understand why Castro has been deemed the team's best reliever. Because of stuff and stuff.
MatBarnes Verified Member Posted April 26, 2015 Posted April 26, 2015 Castro is not good. He might one day be very good, but he's not right now. I'm inclined to agree. There's a reason it's vary rare to see guys his age in the majors... they're usually NOT f***ING READY.
ElNik2013 Old-Timey Member Posted April 26, 2015 Posted April 26, 2015 I still don't understand why Castro has been deemed the team's best reliever. ERA. Not only has he been deemed the team's best reliever, but Gibbons is using him as if he was Mariono Rivera.
Atothe Old-Timey Member Posted April 26, 2015 Posted April 26, 2015 Cecil, Loup, and Hendricks Pretty much everyone in the pen except for Osuna Cecil and Hendricks? Really? Really? how have they been bad?
CJ-Freeway Old-Timey Member Posted April 26, 2015 Posted April 26, 2015 Edwin and Bautista are both batting under .200 Wow that's scary! They both suck now right? Edwin and JB have still been more productive than this s*** pen. (Even though they've been struggling atm) I could agree with you if we had one or 2 blown saves by now, but we have 5 blown saves already, ffs. Can someone check if we lead the majors in this s*** category? 5 blown saves in 17 games is f***ing inexcusable
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted April 26, 2015 Posted April 26, 2015 I still don't understand why Castro has been deemed the team's best reliever. He can touch 100mph! He can strike ANYONE out!
jays4life19 Old-Timey Member Posted April 26, 2015 Posted April 26, 2015 I didn't read the last 4 pages because it's probably a shitshow. It's time to get drunk though Jays fans. Horrible ending....nice to see Norris stepping up though.

Washington has 5 blown saves already.. and you wonder why that team is struggling. FYI, according to ESPN: Washington 5 Seattle 4 Chicago 4 Cincy 4 Boston and Toronto tied at 3 If you think our bullpen sucks, try being a Nats fan right now.. they'd be complaining more! Same goes in Boston, whose overworked pen, bad starters, and inconsistent offense are costing them games (and the reason they're only 10-7 (soon to be 10-8, as they are losing to the O's with Zach Britton coming for the 9th.)
