Normally, Travis would have slid head first, but he's making a conscious effort to slide feet first for a little while with his injured rib. He initially wanted to slide head first, but changed his mind a bit late, thus the awkward slide. You do have to be 100% that you'll be safe with two out and Donaldson due up though.
