Notes:

Jays:

  • Norris is making his third start of the season and second at home. He's coming off a no-decision against the Rays in which he allowed two runs on two hits with three walks over five innings. Norris' success against left-handed hitters should prove especially advantageous versus an Atlanta lineup that's struggled to hit southpaws this season. The Braves entered play Saturday with the lowest league-adjusted offense and OPS (.560) in the NL against lefties.

Braves:

  • Shelby Miller looks to build off two straight solid starts, each lasted only five innings, but both resulted in Atlanta wins. The 24-year-old has allowed just one run in 10 innings this season. He will be making his second career start against the Blue Jays. He dominated Toronto last summer as a member of the St. Louis Cardinals, taking a no-hitter into the sixth before finishing with a three-hit shutout. Miller's had trouble in the past keeping the ball inside the yard -- his 42 home runs allowed since 2013 ranks 10th among National League starters -- but he has yet to give up a homer this season.

Miller is due a pounding.... why not the have the jays do it

Didn't Miller shut down the Jays last June when the Cards came to town?

only the first 20k get them

I'd go down early to get a bobblehead or jersey, though I hate the NO in/out privileges at the Rogers Centre. You have to wait in the ballpark like 2 hours before first pitch. Plus, you're forced to eat lunch and buy drinks at the Rogers Centre by entering at 11 AM.

At least at the ACC, you could scan your ticket leaving and come back like an hour later. I did that for the Raptors bobblehead giveaways on Friday nights. Arrived downtown around 5:30, got my bobblehead, scanned out and went to grab some drinks and a bite to eat before the game.

I've done all that when I was younger. Unless its a certain players autograph I want or if I'm visiting a new ballpark, I have no desire to sit around 2 hours inside a closed roof Rogers Centre.

I dont like stress or people.... so I get there when the park opens whether there is a giveaway or not. Love to just sit and take it all in. Don't really care about autographs, but my daughter has a ball that Sidney Ponson gave her and then came back to sign. the bullpen coach game the kids a handful of gum on the way to the pen as well.

I do as well, though I've done it enough times at the Rogers Centre, which is one of the ugliest parks in baseball, especially when the roof is closed. When I visit ballparks down in the U.S. like Yankees Stadium, Wrigley, Fenway or any other ones for the first time, I love going like an hour and a half in advance and just take it all in. Even walking around the ballparks, checking out different sections, trying out different food. Rogers Centre is just boring and dull. I'll still go and watch Jays games, though I'm not dying to go like 2 hours early before first pitch and "take it all in" when its not an authentic baseball experience to begin with.

I live about 6000 miles from the stadium. I dont get there often

While I've had the end result correct in the first two...I've been completely wrong on how it would play out. Feel confident in saying we'll see the real Norris tonight. Too bad they will pull him too early (after 6 shutout innings)

You said "I live" you never said "I have to travel..."

I should ban you for questioning me, and being a Euro talking in Imperial measures.
