KingKat Old-Timey Member Posted March 25, 2015 Posted March 25, 2015 Graveman's pretty awesome. I hope he finds success in Oakland. He help land Donaldson so there's no reason for ill will.
Nafro Verified Member Posted March 25, 2015 Posted March 25, 2015 Agreed! I picked him up late last year in both my dynasty keeper leagues off the waiver wire. I think and hope he will have a great career. I actually picked him to be the most useful piece for Oakland of the Donaldson trade. You have to give up something to get something.
Brownie19 Old-Timey Member Posted March 25, 2015 Posted March 25, 2015 I love .gifs. Would be nice if Sanchez could develop that kind of slider/cutter that Graveman has. It compliments the hard sinker so well (better than the big curveball). All 3 of Graveman's pitches start on the same plain - then all do something different.
baubau Verified Member Posted March 25, 2015 Posted March 25, 2015 I think Graveman will be a solid pitcher, better than Nolin. Like most pitchers that pitch in Oakland he will benefit from that ballpark, look like a no. 3 pitcher and be traded again for something nice. Billy Beane has it all worked out!
HERPDERP Old-Timey Member Posted March 25, 2015 Posted March 25, 2015 I think we sold on him low, but we got Donaldson and we have better pitchers with stuff in the organization than this guy, so no regrets

I think we sold on him high. While I am sure the A's have scouted him in the past, I am confident that his call-up helped rise his stock and put him on the radar as a trade chip.

Plus he has a girly first name.

I guess you can look at it that way, considering where he came from. But I truly believe that his cutter/sinker were legit pitches going forward to the point that he could be a starter than a BP guy. Over here he would never get a chance to start.
GNick49 Verified Member Posted March 25, 2015 Posted March 25, 2015 That may be good trade for both clubs. If Graveman is good starter, they can keep Lawrie healthy and Barreto lives up to expectations
glory Old-Timey Member Posted March 25, 2015 Posted March 25, 2015 I think we sold high, but I also think he's going to be a good MLB starter. Not an ace, but a reliable workhorse type. Wish we could have kept him, but we got the WAR Machine, so not even going to pretend to care about losing him.
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted March 30, 2015 Author Posted March 30, 2015 This kid has his mojo, and for his fault, Zobrist, Semien, Lawrie and Ike Davis will end suffering from backaches (2.50 GO/AO) http://ctrlv.cz/shots/2015/03/30/Wvyl.png
flafson Verified Member Posted March 30, 2015 Posted March 30, 2015 The good thing, i think we are developing a name of a team that can develop top pitching.
