HERPDERP Old-Timey Member Posted May 4, 2015 Posted May 4, 2015 Is Headley that bad? He should be hitting behind Beltran.
GreekFatAss Verified Member Posted May 4, 2015 Posted May 4, 2015 Another jibrish stat that's all that it. People around here pay to much attention to some stats. Everybody in the off season were going on about stats and u can see where some of those stats got us so far. Its not so much about the stats, its about how many people become dicks with people who don't understand. If you were to spend a little time to explain why rather then gang up and make fun of them, you might actually help them learn a thing or two.

jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted May 4, 2015 Posted May 4, 2015 Is Headley that bad? He should be hitting behind Beltran. .242/.294/.400. BTW, without A-Rod, this offense is one of the worst in the game, even with Gardner and Ellsbury.
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted May 4, 2015 Posted May 4, 2015 Former Jays catching prospect Carlos Perez called up to LAA, Butera DFAd.
Horses Fart Old-Timey Member Posted May 4, 2015 Posted May 4, 2015 Yanks resting regulars for no apparent reason.. and Drew batting 5th makes our Thole batting 6th look good.. Drew is garbage! They must feel that they're not winning this game because they don't expect a strong outing by Whitley.. News Flash! Thole is garbage too.
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted May 4, 2015 Posted May 4, 2015 Hanley injured? Shoulder injury based on the highlights. That would be a devastating blow to the Red Sox if he ends up on the DL, as he is their only real threat in the lineup due to declines in Ortiz, Sandoval(who can't hit lefties) and Napoli.

jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted May 5, 2015 Posted May 5, 2015 BTW, the reason I said Sandoval is in decline is because he is hitting just .083 vs lefties, and should be platooned, along with Ortiz, who is also not hitting lefties. Unfortunately, HanRam's potential long-term injury pretty much puts the kibosh on that..
BTS Community Moderator Posted May 5, 2015 Posted May 5, 2015 Is Stephen Vogt real? Ain't that the question.
BTS Community Moderator Posted May 5, 2015 Posted May 5, 2015 The Astros have become very fun to watch.
TheHurl Site Manager Posted May 5, 2015 Posted May 5, 2015 Loved this article. http://www.theonion.com/article/turns-out-craig-counsell-was-actually-best-basebal-6581 NEW YORK—After the records of players who used performance-enhancing drugs are carefully removed, statistics provided by the Elias Sports Bureau indicate that lifetime .255 hitter Craig Counsell was the best player of the past 15 years. "If you judge them on the basis of pure physical ability, you're left with Craig Counsell," said ESB representative Patrick Wondolowski, adding that Counsell's 35 career home runs narrowly beat out Quinton McCracken's 21 and pitcher Glendon Rusch's three. Upon hearing the news, broadcaster Bob Uecker lauded the Brewers utilityman as "one of the best I ever saw, if we're talking about those who I can say without a doubt never took steroids. He came this close to stealing a base off of Ivan Rodriguez, and I swear I heard him foul tip a Roger Clemens fastball. The kid could flat-out steroid-free play. One time he was playing third base and he caught a Rafael Palmeiro line drive—just caught it, right in his mitt." When asked about his Hall of Fame chances, Counsell dodged the question by asking if anyone had a few bucks so he could go buy a sandwich.
intentional wok Old-Timey Member Posted May 5, 2015 Posted May 5, 2015 #14 for Cruz I'm enjoying it as much as I can for my Premier team. It'll all come crashing down once he gets caught for corking his arms or something, though.
z3r0s Old-Timey Member Posted May 5, 2015 Posted May 5, 2015 are the AL East currently exactly opposite to what you expected? NYY, TBR, BAL, TOR, BOS weird weird.
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted May 5, 2015 Posted May 5, 2015 are the AL East currently exactly opposite to what you expected? NYY, TBR, BAL, TOR, BOS weird weird. Pretty much except I would have flipped Yankees and Rays
ScientificReason Verified Member Posted May 5, 2015 Posted May 5, 2015 are the AL East currently exactly opposite to what you expected? NYY, TBR, BAL, TOR, BOS weird weird. All those "experts" who predicted boston to be the best team were laughable, their pitching is worst then ours.
TheHurl Site Manager Posted May 5, 2015 Posted May 5, 2015 are the AL East currently exactly opposite to what you expected? NYY, TBR, BAL, TOR, BOS weird weird. my prediction of a 5 way tie at 81 wins still has a chance
z3r0s Old-Timey Member Posted May 5, 2015 Posted May 5, 2015 my prediction of a 5 way tie at 81 wins still has a chance That would be the best thing ever.
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted May 5, 2015 Posted May 5, 2015 That would be the best thing ever. Seriously 5 team round robin style play-in
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted May 5, 2015 Posted May 5, 2015 Cobb possibly headed for Tommy John Surgery:
HERPDERP Old-Timey Member Posted May 5, 2015 Posted May 5, 2015 Was this a setback in his rehab, or didn't he make an appearance earlier this season? I swear I thought we faced the guy.
StroShow Verified Member Posted May 5, 2015 Posted May 5, 2015 Cobb possibly headed for Tommy John Surgery: Same injury as Tanaka. Should just opt for the surgery.
Sammy225 Old-Timey Member Posted May 5, 2015 Posted May 5, 2015 Same injury as Tanaka. Should just opt for the surgery. You would think so. TB is not a legit contender this year but i guess in the East this season who the f*** knows.
