Gorlak Verified Member Posted February 6, 2015 Posted February 6, 2015 Rogers paid $25M for the Dome IIRC. With the condo boom I bet they could sell that property, buy another property in the boonies, build a stadium there and still make a huge profit. With the negative result being that the team ends up playing in the boonies. What they paid for the stadium has no effect on what is the most profitable way to move forward, Also I really doubt the Sale of Rogers centre could come close to paying for a new stadium regardless of where it's built.
Deadpool Old-Timey Member Posted February 6, 2015 Posted February 6, 2015 So you would rather our money go to some country we never heard of to fix there problems because thats where your money is currently going *sigh* http://cidpnsi.ca/blog/portfolio/canadas-foreign-aid/ Aid spending was 2.5% of total 2012 budget expenditure, or 0.32% of Gross National Income. Oh, and Harper is shrinking that amount as well...

The stadium lands are owned by the Canada Lands Company.
